RE: Anyone else chompin' at the bit for the FW 90mm SUPER SCALE F-16?

Wow that is so cool! I can't believe you got such steady video with the camera mounted on the vertical stab! It looked great and boy what a nice maiden flight!

            Another greaser!  Well done again.

Here's my flight from yesterday.  The mobius cam created lateral instability as I had it out on the wing tip.  Always looking for new cam angles, lol.

Great flight! I put a Mobius on my SU-35 wingtip and it crashed though. Be careful.

Got my 90mm F-16 on the bench prepping for maiden flight. I have a question about batteries. I have 6-cell 5000mah 50c packs I bought for this jet, but I'd like a little more flight time. I'm considering two of the Admiral 6s 3300 30c running in parallel for a little more flying time, but I'm wondering about the weight. I realize I will give up some top-end with the lower c-rating, but I rarely fly my jets fire-walled anyway. I've been flying Habu's for years with 30c packs. I bought some 50c packs this year, and frankly I can tell very little difference. The two packs are about 34.5oz together, and the 5000 50c is a little over 27oz. That doesn't seem like a lot, but I know it can be for certain airframes. Space won't be an issue. Would appreciate any input anyone want to offer.

Your gain is a marginal 20% which is also increasing weight which as you know will increase landing speed and takeoff run and landing roll outs. So it's just a matter of if the marginal gain is worth flying her heavier.

Not sure about anyone else with the inrunner but I find it seems to land better with the battery almost touching the printed circuit board. That may change as I experiment further though. I'm wondering how much heavier the inrunner is to the outrunner.

Thanks for the input on the battery. I'll try the first flights with the 5000 and go from there.

Remember the battery position I am using is for the inrunner motor; not sure about where the outrunner battery is positioned.

My latest flight with a jet sound module installed using only one speaker.

Nice! I like that little added bit of texture to the sound.

You can really hear the added sound module...Wow, makes me want to get one myself. Never thought I would need one with the 12-blade fan but it just adds that other level of realism.

Man, that's some plane.... I'm not sure you even need a sound module?? It sounds pretty rad as is and the brakes are great!! How do they actually work? Magnetic?
