I love the RT's. Have a pair of 5800 35C and a pair of 6250 35C. Plenty of punch and great flight times. Exceeding 5 minutes on the 6250's They do get warm when you take them down below 3.78 per cell. A higher C batt won't get as warm. For the A4, I'm going with a 5000 70C.

Ok. I made the mod and flew it this evening. It took longer than 10 minutes by the way... however, my first landing surprised me... it was not a greaser but no bounce at all. The second one I had one main hang up so ended up landing on two wheels. Nothing came off the plane and only minor damage to a couple pylons on the left wing. I couldn't believe it. You may be on to something here George. Time will tell but the rat hawg lives on.Comment

I had already removed the plastic covers on mine so I'' give you a 4 minute handicap ;) What made the one main hang up?

I'm going to have to try and make that drop tank. Makes the A10 look even more bad ass!

I did a quick look through but didn't find it, maybe it;s in the other thread?. Steve, on your 90 mm I remember you using something to cut down the size of the exhaust Do you have the link for the post where you did that? My ARF+ arrives tomorrow and the nacelles should be here Thursday.
Thanks in advance.

Well then, I need to get them here as well (they are on the main thread). Here you go Bill.
it started out with two Krylon spray paint caps.I filled in the places you squeeze to remove the caps with some putty and sanded them smooth. When done I CA'd a layer of thin fiberglass cloth over them and then cut the ends off.
I removed the original rings and cut them just shy of being flush (so they did not protrude) with the back of the nacelles with a razor saw. I then marked them to locate holes to position some 1/8" x 1/16" or so CF strip that I had. I used a Dremel with a small grinding tip to make the holes on the rings. Notice the rear most CF strip overlaps the other.
Centering the nozzle is a bit more tricky but I just positioned, marked and Dremelled like I did the ring. Just keep it as flat as possible with the ring so as not to induce any additional incidence. After that I primed it with automotive primer and sprayed it with some stainless steel paint. Badda Bing!

How does the CG work out with the 6250s? Do you keep the batteries in there stock locations?
