Not even close unfortunate. Lots of libraties were taken and hell its fine its not a super scale set. I could do a accurate cockpit but it would likely cost 500 bucks as I would scratch build it all lol. It will look boss no worries. I only wish I could set it all up and glue it together for proper photos but I dont know how the pieces sit in the cockpit tub. If Motion sent me one I could glue this together. Tempted to throw a few rice bulbs in too but meh again not mine and cost etc.AMA 1102566

Yeah if money were no object I would absolutely let you go to town on a scratch-built custom cockpit but these free 3D parts will do okay, and especially great with your painting skill. My YouTube RC videos:

So I'm confused about the instrument panel, the one video shows the instr. panel installed and the parts decal sheet shows an instr. panel decal but some of you guys are posting that there is no instr. panel at all?? I was thinking about ordering the Navy version but need to know this ahead of time.Originally posted by Grover54 View Post
What??? The reviews I've seen from TI (at least for the Bubbletop) shows a very detailed instrument panel. I wanted to confirm I was seeing it like it comes out of the box and it wasn't added aftermarket. Unless I misunderstood, TI said it was standard out of the box. Check out his video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQcjbMqRRmw&t=325s at 7:58 - 8:05 you get a quick look at the cockpit and panel and he comments on the detailed decal.

You paint it whatever you think is most accurate. I defer to your expertise my friend.Originally posted by AkumaZeto View Postfwiw early corsairs did not have zinc cromate but rather this dark green/blue tintMy YouTube RC videos:

Hey Y'all, Has anyone pulled the canopy yet to begin the install of the 3DPUP kit? If so, could you measure and post the pilot's height from the seat base, please? Would be muchly helpful to me. Best, LB"I am having an extraordinary ordinary life."~Lucky B*st*rd~

The instrument panel decal is supposed to be installed at the factory before they glue the canopy on. Someone forgot to install mine and there is none that comes with the enclosed decal sheet. So for now, I have no panel. I would expect that unless something really bad happened, mine was simply an oversight and the rest of the. Corsairs have them. Ive opened up a support ticket and between the excellent support from MotionRC and help from the Band of Brothers here, I know I’m good.Originally posted by DCORSAIR View Post

I have not done it yet, but I can do so in a little while and report back! I can see that one of the pushrods runs a little high thru the cockpit, so installing the Warbird Pilots figure will be a little more challenging than the Spitfire... Let me open the box and a beer and I will advise ASAP!! ;):P:Cool:Originally posted by Elbee View PostHey Y'all, Has anyone pulled the canopy yet to begin the install of the 3DPUP kit? Not that you aren't supposed to already have one but you could always print one out and glue it to the panel.Originally posted by Ole-Timer View Post

Indeed so. Not sure how it would fit the 3D printed panel face but each instrument could be attached to the rear of the printed panel individually if alignment were an issue. I did that with the plywood panel I made for the Tigermoth. It’ll all come out in the propwash.Originally posted by Beeg View Post

OK. From the factory "seat" to the top of the pilot's head is 71mm on mine. Plus or minus 1mm... There looks to be some carving to get the 3D stuff in there.... Hope this helps. The canopy came off pretty easily. Just had to take your time and cut thru the paint and glue with the artist's spatula... :Cool:Originally posted by Elbee View PostHey Y'all, Has anyone pulled the canopy yet to begin the install of the 3DPUP kit? H, that explains so much about why all my artwork is not hanging straight and why I have she convinced cm is shorthand for inches. :Not-Talking: Best, LBOriginally posted by Hardway View PostClose... 71 mm is 2.7952 inches and 2 and 51/64th" is actually 2.7864.... so, let's get our math straight bro....LOL:Scared::Cool:"I am having an extraordinary ordinary life."~Lucky B*st*rd~
