Hey Tony. I set the timer for 5 minutes of hard flying and still come down at between 30 and 40% or around 3.8 a cell. If I take it easy and just scale fly and stay in the pattern shooting landings I can safely get 8 minutes and have the same results. Super efficient!

Thanks Ryan. Those are decent flight times. I assume the wing is a one piece? How is the wing attached to the fuselage?

its a one piece wing that easily splits in two if desired. Check out this build overview for a look. 4 screws attach into brass threaded hardpoints and then one for the forward scoop. After that three servo leads and you are up up and away.

Just curious where the Ozzies are getting theirs from. As far as I can tell, nobody actually has them. Motion's shouldn't make landfall for another week or two.

I'll be getting mine from RC-Castle. Same price as Motion but about $50us cheaper in shipping. RC-Castle should have them this week.

Of course - RC Castle. I split my business between them and Motion. I like them both. Being in Canada, sometimes one is much cheaper but when there's only a few bucks difference, I go with Motion. 50 bucks is 50 bucks. Pays for a lot of Starbucks.

Hey mate. The Aussie dealer at xtreme hobby has stock of the spitty already. I believe mixed got his from there. As you are probably aware, he has a long history of trying to rip people off (including me - he still owes one of my clubmates $600 for a plane he paid for but never received, the usual bs with this ....), but I wouldn't use him if he was the last dealer on earth, I'd go without rather than give that .... any of my money.

Why guess? It tells you in the specs what battery can be used in this plane.

ya but sometimes the 5000 maybe to heavy and the 4000 maybe you only get 3 to 4 min flying.i have used the max battery before and it was just to heavy did not want to turn good and you can tell its alittle to much. for what these 6cells cost i,d rather hear from someone who has more experience than myself, i can,t afford to go spend 150.00 in battery,s not be happy with the way it is flying.
