The hold up is that Chris thinks we need 2x 2S 3000 mAh's to run the flaps and ailerons. Static it is pulling over 2 amps. The sequencer/control board is a bit old and there is no real decent documentation for it but we will make it work. We agreed that the gear will need it's own battery as well. So in total there will be 5 LiPos in this big bird, each having specific rolls to play. We won't know the AUW until the end of course but we both guess 25 pounds is probably in the ballpark.

He has some fine tuning yet to do with the gear doors and then it's time for the fuselage. Progress.

Hey Aros, you might talk to Mitch at Down and Locked regarding the control board and electrical draw etc. He is a great source for best ways to handle a given situation especially since it was their equipment to begin with.

                      • Aros, I built the TF Giant Corsair and converted it to electric on 14S. That being said I don't have a near the stuff you've got on yours so be prepared...my AUW is 28.4lbs. She flies nice and lands smooth. With them being very close to the same dimensions be careful you don't need some lipo for your LIPOs!

                        • Yikes! Good to know...Yeah something tells me I am going to be a bit bummed with the AUW.

                                  • Looks like we're going to have to settle for the minnie Corsair(MRC) for awhile. Been three months since the last post.....anything new to report Aros? Just rattling the cage.;)

                                      • UPDATE

                                        (Shocking I know) LOL

I am happy to report that I found a capable LOCAL builder who has agreed to take over the build from Chris who between family and job constraints just no longer has time for these larger builds. Ed (eawings) is not only a gifted ARF builder but he is a fellow Motion RC co-worker! He works on our Customer Service team and lives a mere 15 miles from me so I am elated. Ed has extensive build experience on warbirds and jets, Kits/ARFs, etc...He will be the perfect fit to take over and complete the build. I plan on delivering the model to him possibly as soon as this weekend where he plans to get started on it. So here's to re-kick-starting this build so thank you Ed!

                                        • Wow , that was a lot said and thank you for such a nice gesture Todd. I am most willing to take over the build and finish this off based on your expectations-a true scale.
You are welcome. Thanks again for the introduction Todd.
