I'm a fan of the glue that came with the kit myself although if it's a high stress area lean toward the gorilla glue..
P.S sorry to hear about your F-22 Aros

Just curious if anyone ever received their gun pods. I put in a ticket right away and I haven't seen anything yet. This was last October. At this point, it really doesn't matter to me. I almost forgot about these pods.

Pat....would ya care to share the brand name of that medium regular CA so that the rest of us might benefit with a less expensive CA option over the "foam safe" stuff. ;)

Yeah, that's why I'm not pursuing this. It's more for filing in the "bin of useless information". I should have mentioned this to them before they shipped out my Corsair. They could have just slipped it in the box instead of having to send out a separate shipment. Maybe on my next purchase.

Zap brand Zap-A-Gap Medium CA+. We always get some in our pilot bags at our club events, so mine is as cheap as you get. :)

                  • I agree. I think it looks like a tacky add on. It's sitting on a shelf.

                    • make sure you use clear gorilla glue as the white and yellow g glue expands

Finally got mine as well, I like it better without it, looks clean, looks kind of dorky with the gun pod for some reason.

                        • Since the gun pod mounting tab is already there, perhaps attaching something like a tall ship front mast figurehead? Likely the drag would scrub off a few MPH.

                          • I am seriously pondering this plane, but the blue box and flap issues have me on the fence. I am also considering the E-flite Viper and E-flite F-16 if I don't go with this one.

Which batteries are you guys using and what kind of flight times are you getting with them?

                            GB

It's a great plane, much more plane than the other two...the blue box issues are mostly due to either a wire in the wrong place of the gears being in the wrong position compared to what the box expects. The blues boxes that are being returned are being checked and work fine.

I much prefer this over my E Flite Viper. I have had no problem with the blue box. I removed the guns. In the way and always hanging up on something.

Have you had any issues with the flaps? That is the biggest concern of mine to be honest.

Thank you adb2! What is it that makes you prefer this one over the E-flite Viper?

Frankly it just flies better than the Viper, I have two Vipers' the second one in an attempt to get one that I felt might fly better but it was the same. They are ok but not nearly as smooth and fun flying. I haven't flown a Viper in quite a while. When I go to the field I usually grab anything but the Viper. I don't dislike it' I just prefer other planes. By the way, I have had no flap problems whatsoever.

                                      • Never had an issue again with the flaps after removing the slowdown..also bypass the blue box for rudder and you wont have probs. With the HRB /Admiral 5000mAh I squeezed out last weekend 7min stock setup with 3.8V left..so will have to try longer next time xdd
