Getting my MIG together and wanted to ask two questions:
Where is everyone measuring the throws on their ailerons and rudder control surfaces- at outside edge middle or closest to the fuselage?
I am going to run the RCGeek afterburner and JP electric brakes off of a 2s 800mah battery, those two working off of the same battery shouldn't be a problem should it?
Thank you in advance folks...

Welcome!!!! Glad you are on board. I didn't measure the throws on my bird. It flies great!! I do have expo on all surfaces.... Can't speak directly to the brake/AB, but I think the battery will be fine, and worst-case, if they fail, no harm to your bird!!! Found it...Originally posted by RC30Flyer View PostThank you sir... much appreciated. Now if they would only get them back in stock! :P
On the Freewing Mig-21 a new Admiral Carbon 6S 5100mAh battery will CG at 265mm from the wing root if the battery is 210mm from the point where I measured from.

Did you know the RAF purchased 290 Mig 21s from the Russians? The lightning was a handful for expense and maintenance and they flew the 21s in certain squadronsOriginally posted by brk6188 View PostManfred, I like both of those color schemes but that "fake' F-6 Lightning is fantastic, it is one of those " why didn't I think of that " schemes but you had better hope that the scale police don't see it ! .

Back from my trip from the Father Land just yesterday, and therefore just saw your question posted.Originally posted by RC30Flyer View PostDoes anyone know if the Admiral Carbon 5100mah 70C 6S will fit in this jet and will it balance out?
Yes as George has already mentioned these fit great and had no differences in making efforts to re-trim the aircraft "no stabilizers" with the china hobbyline 55C Gplus series 5000mah and and admiral 70C 6s 5100mah.

FYI For all the local RC Pilots in the bay area, needing a runway strip for your larger scale foamies, and can't quite afford to join a flying club or just can't make it out as often as needed to make a membership a worthwhile bang for the buck, there is a great place close by Menlo park shoreline mainly on Sundays at the following coordinates, feel free, to fly for free....
