If you set up the plane as it comes out of the box I suggest THIS. It is a very good simple to set up and use gyro with individual adjustments for the three axis'.

If you fly a radio that has receivers with built in gyros (AS3X or SAFE, etc) it may be good to go with them.

If you want to have tailerons or flaperons they will require a gyro with more than one input/ output per axis like THIS. The newer FreeWing EG01 and some others are good but need a separate programmer unless you buy a plane with them already in them and preprogrammed. Some may be programmed through a downloadable computer app, the one I suggested for tailerons or flaperons is like that. They are more difficult to program.

I suggest a simple one that does not need a separate programmer or computer and has separate adjustments for each axis. If you want auto level like SAFE or REFLEX then that will take a more complex gyro.

            Hey

Anyone removed the tail cone after clicking it in place? Is there a trick?

Not sure why the thread isn’t more active, could be due to this not being flying season for most. Mine is just sitting in my hangar giving me stink eye asking me when I plan to let her loose, lol!

Here in the Pacific Northwest my chance to maiden her will likely have to wait until Spring.

This is almost unflyable with the stock set up. If you balance it on the marks it's super nose heavy and will need a ton more elevator travel and up trim to just barely fly. I am not one of those that balance tail heavy and use a gyro to make it fly and I'm an inch+ behind the marks.

I have 20 flights on my 8s now. You will be able to take off with 60-80 meters of a hard service. I have not flown mine off of grass yet. Landing on a 60-80 meter runway. That's tight, use the airbrakes and be ready to hit reverse thrust. Grass landing no problem.

I'm happy with my CG at 120mm. Thats flying with 2 4s 5000 Admirals. Even when i fly with the 8s SMC 5900 HV(65g lighter than Admiral) I position the batteries in the same position and barely notice the difference. The rest of the settings for ele/rud/ail, I went by the book. I'm a scale flyer, so very happy with the setup and performance. Yes..I've done some painting this winter before attending the florida eJet Fest this month.

Question! I am trying to find the main gear replacement for my F16 v2. Motion has one that is similar but it doesn’t say that it fits the f16 v2. Does any of you know where I can find it?
