Interesting about those chokes! Would love to see a photo of how you place them once you get your A-10. Cheers!

I still have my V1 power pod from the crashed bird. So, I opened it up to investigate where one could place the RF chokes. Remember, the closer to the ESC, the better.
Plenty of room and 2 placement options….
Note, These are not clipped or zip tied. I was simply experimenting with placement options.
You can bet that my V2 will have these installed. I’ve learn the hard way what happens if you don’t use them.
Then a small one will be placed by the green ferrite ring choke up by the receiver.
Three chokes total. Consider adding them to the SR-71, too. There is lots of room in the SR’s motor nacelles. I did…and I am confident the SR-71 is better (less chance of loss of control) for having done it.
Photos below are from both the topside and bottom side of the power pod. Zoom in and you will see the black chokes around the big main red, big main black and the smaller red/black/white throttle signal wires.
Only one of 2 power module RF chokes is placed and not closed or zip tied…experimenting only.

PS…This A-10 VERY likely crashed because the RF chokes were not used. It experienced a total loss of control one day. I was discussing this crash with a Ham Radio guru…he clued me in on the need for using the chokes.

Great, what size do you recommend for these EDFs?My YouTube RC videos:

From the variety pack (Amazon), pick what size fits in the room you have. Bigger wires will take bigger chokes to be able to close. Minor foam trimming may be needed. For the UBEC-to-RX wire, use the smallest choke from the variety pack.Originally posted by Aros View PostGreat, what size do you recommend for these EDFs?
Any choke is better than none.

Older one before FW started putting reversing ESCs in? The MiG now has the caps.
Buy Freewing 80mm EDF MiG-29 100A ESCs with 8A UBEC (Set) online at Motion RC. Order online with fast delivery.

The old one could not just run 90's. It was an upgrade that consisted of a lot of parts including the whole foam motor pods. I think you know that but "The previous A-10 model could run 90mm fans" is misleading.

As of this moment, there is no indication that Freewing will be offering the 90mm conversion kit. However, that could change down the road.Originally posted by KevinMar View PostThe previous A-10 model could run 90mm fans, can this one as well? Will the old conversions work?My YouTube RC videos:

I'm reasonably confident Wes flew all the daytime videos with the outrunner setup. I believe he shot a dusk video (a short of this flight was posted on our YouTube channel) and that flight may be with the inrunners, but I'm not 100% certain. I do know he has the inrunners installed now.Originally posted by e4dragongunner View PostWhich version is being demo'd in the vids???
I must have missed it...
the inrunners or the outrunners?
It's pretty F**King Cool boys!

what are the Gyro setting for the A10? I'm getting the 9 blade version and adding the Freewing EG01 6 Axis Gyro Stabilized Flight Control System. not in the app software yet!

I have been lurking and pondering the FMS F-86 Saber or the FW T-33 Shooting Star...but this V2 release of the FW A-10 with upgraded landing gear suspension, 12blade fan, 80mm inrunner motors, LED Slime lights and integrated Gyro in the PNP version pushed me into an over stimulated fog induced purchase. This EDF should do just fine on our grass field. I did not realize the wings are removable which makes storage and transport much better than the F-86/T-33 aircraft.
Incoming!!
