Doesn’t mean crap unless you include what fan you have and even then it’s probably crap. And ESC. And what timing. Yeah worthless post.

I have the arf + in red, was given the eflite delta v32 80mm. I realize it's only a five blade, but do you think it would be fine?

It breaks my heart to have to say this and causes no little amount of embarrassment as well. I lost my brand new Avanti due to a stupid mistake on my part. In an old guy moment, I placed the receiver right beside the battery. I know I know, as I hear the collective sigh!!
Of course, at some point, I lost connection and she augured in, expensive mistake.
So, what I'd like to see, for my interest and I bet several others as well, is just where you guys have placed your rx's for best results.

Mine is under the battery tray but I have long coax antennae with one going forward to the very front of the battery area and one aft to the very aft and a satellite under the hump aft of the canopy.

                      Sorry about the loss.

This is my rx layout, needs some foam cutting. RX location is at front of canopy, need to cut some foam level where the rx goes. ( Zoom in to canopy top on stbd wing to see hole through tinted canopy. One ariel points forward, the other ariel upwards into cut hole. The little plane is my scratch built 630mm edf with 40mm 12 bl 4s XFly edf and gyro with auto level which I have been using for hand launch at our main field which is still too wet to cut the grass short enough to cut and roll !!!

It's going to suck not being able to get parts.

I've been using Lemon rx's with my Spektrum radio for years and have had great success. With the Avanti, I'd like to have a rx that I could hook two satellite receivers to. One to run under the battery tray and one to run to the forward edge of the battery hatch, placing the rx itself just behind the battery hatch. Any suggestions??

I use Orange in most my aircraft. Their DSMX 6ch and up have two satellite ports.

AR8360T. Has enough channels for separate nosewheel steering and thrust reversing. AR8020T if you have an aversion to gyros.

My FW 80mm Avanti may be on the shelf for a while. Got the 90mm FMS Avanti. With TV nozzle. Set it up following Jon (2-Bros) advice and with the TV, it does some incredible things. Easy knife edge, high alpha, flat spins including inverted, head over heal flips continuously until too low, blenders, etc. Without the TV, it's just another Avanti. Using the 10 channel AS3X Plus with nose wheel gyro and 4X TV gains with extremely high rates.

Balanced 25mm behind manual recommendations, it climbs doing the 45 degree inverted test, but damn, it's a blast to fly there. Using an SMC HiV 5900 for 5-6 minutes depending on routine.

Built out the cockpit with 2 "Clint Walker" size pilots and applied 4 coats of clear gloss exterior Spar Urethane for durability. She's a sweet ride!
