I always use clear Dap kwik seal on motor mount screws, wing mounts, and any screw that could come loose due to any vibration. Not that I expect any once the prop is balanced but during landings and takeoff in rough conditions. While the esc was removed I tugged on each phase wire connection and all were solid including the motor connectors, I do this because I have found cold solder joints in the past on other brands... Everything worked except for the flaps. Dead as a mackerel. So, I hoped for a small miracle and pulled the MCB board to Rx male / male wire first. That was indeed the culprit as the negative wire connection was bad. I stock those so that was a five minute fix. I could have her flying today but have no plans on that. It’s winter here and all the toys are stored indoors, including the special order 2019 2SS Camaro 6 speed stick that just came in.
2019 proves to be a fun year indeed. ;)

                • Can someone post a clear closeup pic of the new FL Corsair instrument panel? I assume the Birdcage and Bubbletop would be the same? Just want to make sure I'm seeing it right. It almost looks 3D from other pics I've seen. Thanks!

Funny you should mention that. There is no panel inside my cockpit and there is no decal with my sheets.

I have no instrument panel other than the 3D printed cover LB sent me!

O-T, I checked on Callie's website and there is NOT an instrument sheet available. I have not checked mine yet will let you know. Presume we'll need to find something we can scale to fit and hopefully in color. Perhaps someone who has one will remove it, scan it in high res and post it. ;)Best, LB

Love what y’all did with the Corsair.
Nie fo a bit of “nit picking” -
Regarding the foot hold in the starboard flap: the F4U1 (Birdcage) and F4U-1A DID NOT have a foot hold in the starboard flap. The foot hold in the starboard flap did not appear until the introduction of the F4U-1D.
My plan is to fill in the foot hold prior to “some” weathering (similar to my F7F - probably a little “ heavier”) or

What??? The reviews I've seen from TI (at least for the Bubbletop) shows a very detailed instrument panel. I wanted to confirm I was seeing it like it comes out of the box and it wasn't added aftermarket. Unless I misunderstood, TI said it was standard out of the box. Check out his video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQcjbMqRRmw&t=325s at 7:58 - 8:05 you get a quick look at the cockpit and panel and he comments on the detailed decal.

Thanks LB, I appreciate that. I opened a support ticket and should they send me a panel, perhaps I can scan that before installation.

I know the 3D print files are detailed but not THAT detailed. LOL LOL LOL
