Got 4 flights in on each of the F-16, F-4, SU-30 and my Extreme Flight 60" Edge. A little windy but beats laying on the couch watching football. After seeing RudyD54 fly his new Mig, I have to say the SU-30 is just a pig, at least on grass (and I upgraded the nose wheel to a 2 1/4" from the stock 1 7/8"). Even with a 12-15 mph headwind on take-off and flaperons, it barely got off and took about 250 feet (that Mig got off in 100 feet on our grass with no wind). The SU-30 is OK in the air, looks kind of cool on the ground and in the air, but that Mig flies circles around it! Flight time is only about 3:30 on the SU-30 with a 6000 (Rudy gets 4-5 on 2 5000's) and definitely does not land like the Mig. Need to keep some power up or it drops like a rock, unlike the Mig which seems to float in high alpha nicely. But I still like flying it, it keeps me on my toes.

Flew my T-33 using FPV smoothly to shoot the ever photogenic Tomcat head-on in my chase cam. Tomcat was flown using head-tracking FPV to stay in trail, too!3 PhotosYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/motionsic

I put one of these new FMS Chinese CJ6 Chinese Air Show team planes for a friend and test flew it today. The CJ6 is a very could flying plane for the intermediate Pilot The nose gear is a little Flimsy, but I guess we can't have every thing LOL!!! I test flew it with all high rates and no expo. After the first flight I dialed in dual the rates and some expo Rlies much nicer now and is very stable in flight. Flies very nice on the low rates. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNs1n1l39dE&t=16s

Today's hangar: Two flights each on the Tiny Trainer, Simple Scout, and Stinger, and one flight each on the Storch, Versawing, and Bushwacker. First flight of the Tiny Trainer was done on FPV, using a mount printed by one of our club members, and both advice and assistance from the same (thanks, Jason!). I flew a second flight with the FPV rig on the TT a bit later, though I put the goggles off to the side on record mode, and just flew line-of-sight (by that time, those left at the field were packing up and heading out, so I wouldn't have had a spotter to keep an eye on the plane). For a relatively inexpensive FPV rig, I'm pretty happy with the performance, and that I didn't crash.
Only near incidents today were probably the ugliest take-off I've ever done (and actually made it into the air), when one wheel on the Storch decided to start binding, and flip the plane 180 degrees around. Other near incident was the final landing of the day with the Stinger. When I took off, there was only a bare wisp of a breeze coming from the south. Landing from the north, it seemed to not drop speed like I expected, and touched down with barely any runway left (rolled into a clump of weeds, but no damage). Turned out, the wind had flipped around to come from the north, and picked up a bit, so I was landing with a tailwind. I should have taken a final peek at the streamer across the runway.

Finally got some decent weather after 3 weeks of high winds and rain so I got a few EDF's out. The A-10 and F-4 are a couple of my favorites. Still amazed at how well the A-10 maneuvers and lands. The SU-30 is still kind of a pig, especially landing as it definitely drops out unless you keep some throttle on landing (maybe I just need to get some more hours on it as I only have about 30 flights-and it definitely takes some time to get it off of grass), but in the air and on the ground it does look nice.
