      Mine has yet to fly (we've been getting rain here of biblical proportions and the field is still closed) but it also has your excellent fairings as well as the scale wheel covers. I'm glad your maiden went so well- can't wait!:Cool:

          • Sign me up for the Club!! I just ordered the 8S..
            I mainly fly off of grass and only have a 210 foot runway (with several hundred yards of hayfield off both ends), so hopefully the 8S will give me a little insurance..
            If not, I live fairly close to CCRC (Cobb County RC Club; Cobb County GA) where several Motion RC videos are shot.

              When you say intake duct fairings are referring to the leading edge of the ducts or the internal vanes just ahead of the fan?

                I’m referring to the parts that I’ve designed and uploaded in the F-22 3D upgrade parts thread: Fore and aft wing spar fairing, ESC cover and the “sharp inlet duct divider”.

                • O.K. yeah. I have those already and thank you. I just wondered if you had done another 3d mod to protect the leading edge inlet at the front. Steve added a piece of styrene there as I recall but some sort of trim ring around the whole inlet would look cool and protect those soft areas.:Cool:

                      Hi Dustman,

                      You might try getting an answer to your questions about mixes in a thread related to radios. I think this thread is more on the functionality of the F-22 and mods for it people have made. I have a Taranis but I use it only for my drones and don't do any mixes really. Enjoy your F-22.

                      • Took mine out this morning and I couldn't get the locking pin for the canopy to lock. I have the same issue with my FlightLine P-51. The pin gets jammed and won't lock. Has anyone else been dealing with locking pin problems? If it was one model I would write it off as just one of those things but two different models? May be a manufacturing issue...

                            • I just got a dx8e and have a ar7350 im planning on using. I have one elevator servo running on aux 2 and is working fine. However, im having trouble getting the gyro to work for this aux2 elevator. All other flight controls work properly and normally with gyro gains working well. The aux 2 elevator does not have gyro. Anyone know how to assign gyro gains to aux 2? Im not looking to setup any fancy flight modes etc. im just looking to apply to gyro to the aux2 elevator channel.

                              Any insight would be greatly appreciated, as this is the last thing i have to figure out before i can maiden her.

                              • you have to program them via phone app or computer. The cable you need is extra.

                                  “Gear” channel is flaps
                                  aux 2 is used for the gear
                                  aux 3- elevator

                                  thats if you’re using dual elevators as tail type in your TX, which it sounds like.

                                  PM me and I can build the file if needed

                                    I have not had this problem yet, but on the L39 they have the locking pin and magnets which works very well IMO. I have not built my F22 yet and will check it out very soon

                                      Yes, I have had this problem with the locking pin as well. Just thought I didn't have it centered right? I just "think of my secretary" and it seems to go in.LOL

                                      • Hello everyone. As I looked through the posts on her I wanted to make it clear what my Formation light or Slime Light kit is and how to obtain a kit. The following is what I send to anyone asking about a DIY kit for the Freewing 90mm F-22.

                                        Our current option for purchase is the $20 DIY kit plus $7.90 shipping in the USA. This DIY kit will ONLY include module lenses and LEDs for the Formation lights (green bar lights) unless we add extra free items or additions on our side. Since this is a “do-it-yourself” kit, you will need to build your modules and wire them in your jet.

                                        Items you will need to complete your F-22 Formation lighting modules mod are:

                                        * 22g-26g wire,

                                        * 2-JST connectors from a freewing rc LED light kit or red 2 pin JST from local rc stores.

                                        Update: We will now include one set of FREE wing tip modules. These wing tip lights allow you to add 2-Anti Collision Led’s and 2- formation lights (Red or Green) in each module for each wing tip. This addition to the kit will require other parts from Motion RC to

                                        complete the installation and thus why we are adding them for free.

                                        These needed parts are:

                                        *1-Set of flight line rc p-38 lenses from to be cut into tear drop shape and added into the module, (the P-40 lenses will also work)

                                        *4-white 8mm,

                                        *2-Red and 2-Green LEDs from a Freewing or Flightline Airplane to install into the modules.

                                        Recommended light Kit to utilize the lights from for this mod :

                                        * 4- white 8mm, LED’s

                                        * 2-Red 8mm LED’s

                                        * 2-Green 8mm LED’s

                                        I have made a few videos on how we wired the modules to complement the DIY kit and are available to view at the below links.

                                        If you want to purchase this kit send me an Email to Solt4923crew@hotmail.com and We can discuss payment or any questions that may arise ,

                                        Thanks again for your interest in our lights.
