Yeah any kind of material revision would be somewhat unprecedented wouldn't it? And presumably leave the manufacturer open to redress for the owners of the first iteration. I don't see it happening.
I'd just amend the manual to warn operators to exercise caution when deploying flaps, although perhaps that's implied by the intermediate/advanced skill tag on the product page
