Well my friend, I'm glad you asked. I chose this and it arrived today. I started with the canopy and it looks great! Nice deep navy blue color. Should look really nice with some light coats of gloss poly when finished.

In case you didn't know... Should say on the back.
There are several types of enamel paint, each with unique characteristics and applications:- Oil-Based Enamel Paint: Known for its durability and glossy finish, suitable for various surfaces like wood, metal, and ceramics.
2 - Water-Based Enamel Paint: A newer option that offers easier cleanup and lower VOCs, while still providing a durable finish.
1 - Acrylic Enamel Paint: Combines the durability of enamel with the ease of use of acrylics, often used for automotive applications.
1 - Alkyd Enamel Paint: A type of oil-based enamel that dries quickly and provides a hard finish, commonly used for trim and cabinetry.

These types of enamel paint are popular for their hard, glossy surfaces and versatility in various applications.

I checked and it does not specify anything other than "Satin Protective Enamel".Originally posted by Evan D View PostIn case you didn't know... Should say on the back.
Top is finished. I really like this paint. Not a single run or splotch. It does take longer to dry than, say, Paint and Primer mixes and plus it's still in the 50's which I need to account for but overall I am very pleased.

From the MSDS sheet-
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES ENAMEL SPRAY FINISHES
Resin Type Oil modified Alkyd
Pigment Type Varies with color
Solvents Acetone, N-Butyl Acetate, Aromatic Hydrocarbons
From the interweb-
Oil modified alkyd is a type of paint that is derived from polyols and organic acids including dicarboxylic acids or carboxylic acid anhydride and triglyceride oils. Alkyds are modified by adding drying oils or fatty acids to the reaction mixture, which increases flexibility and allows for different drying processes. Alkyds are used in paints, varnishes and in moulds for casting, and are the dominant resin or binder in most commercial oil-based coatings. Alkyd paint is one of the modified forms of oil paints.

Indeed! I love that it’s a deep navy so the gold/yellow will be a fantastic contrast. Can’t wait to see how she turns out!Originally posted by Evan D View PostLooks a bit darker than the picture you posted earlier but when you add the gold it should pop!My YouTube RC videos:

I'm thinking you need to add a "chromed" intake leading edge.Originally posted by Aros View PostBoy the F-16 profile sure lends itself to a BA livery! Like it was meant to be!
