New to site. Now Building the A10 90mm Freewing. Looking for All Up grade information i.e. I hear there is a Strobe light kit? I would also like to see the Main Gear look more real as is the nose gear. All information would be greatly appreciated.

Just joined the forum and I also ordered my 80mm A-10 this weekend - can't wait to get it! Looking forward to reading the discussion from everyone on this aircraft. This model brings back fond memories for me, as I began my career back in the late 70s at Fairchild Republic building the A-10.1 Photo

Yep, welcome to the squawk Jim.
Hope my mate kurt ordered that nose gear in time... looks like it's pretty popular. Hate to say it, but any idea when the next batch would come through? I haven't dinged my a10 yet, (apart from scraping the rudders a touch getting a bit too high alpha in a landing) - but given how much I love my raaf scheme one, any insurance is good insurance in my case lol. :)

Good Morning Fellow A-10's . I am about to start painting my a-10 and i wanted to know if any of you used a filler to smooth out the foam before you laid down your paint? I am using some Hobbylite filler to get rid of some of the more obvious molding issues (one nacelle was a bit rough) with good results. i just wanted to see if anyone else is doing the same.

Welcome to the squawk Jim, wow not only do we have guys who flew the A-10 and serviced the A-10 and loaded it with ammo and ordinance but now we have a member who helped build it. Truly a masterpiece of the most bang for the buck using preexisting parts like the nose gear and different riveting solutions etc. and the titanium tub for the pilot and on and on.Talk about the full meal deal!!!Originally posted by Jimrc73 View PostJust joined the forum and I also ordered my 80mm A-10 this weekend - can't wait to get it!
