Thanks for the compliments, guys. Well, the grass didn’t get cut, truck didn’t get washed and I haven’t done a thing inside for a week, BUT I got 4 flights on the A10.

Left the house at 0630 to guarantee table space and shade from a metal structure. Nope, didn’t happen. When I pulled in I see a dozen of the retired guys beat me out the sack. Something to be said for the old/wiser.

Armed with two complete sets of batteries, and a good charger, I can fly back to back flights the 5 or 6 hours I spend at the club

I hear she will knife edge in the past week. Gave it a try. Solid feel from one end of field to the other. Some elevator coupling present but nothing I’m going to do about. And as I read, it will climb on NE if needed. I look forward to adding this capability to my routine.

Had about 10 mph crosswind on my second flight. One of the club members wife was off the end of the runway 100 feet and at the ropes with a telephoto lens and camera. I’m aware of her presence and know I’ll be airborne 200 feet prior to this waypoint. Brakes on and I spool the power up to 75%, hold for two seconds and release the brakes. Two seconds later I’m at the halfway point of rotation, and I can’t keep it on the line. 100 flights and have only needed minor steering corrections. I get off the power and it occurs to me I have brakes. I apply 50% brake at 200 feet from take off and 150 feet from end of a 300 foot with a narrower but 100 foot of what we call the emergency landing area. I’ve got control of yaw now and apply more brakes as I cross to emergency runway. Enjoyed having the brakes today. I’ve been into the grass before on both ends but prefer keeping it on the runway at all times. The cause of my issue was found to be from failure to flight stabilization active prior to take off roll. I’ve done that before but it didn’t show up until I got into flight.

So far, I have not done anything to tune the jeti assist 10 channel rx. The default setting for “jets” is spot on for this aircraft.

Mixed it it up with some tundras, FPV, quads, other EDF’s, 3D heli pilot, and several new guys interested in getting into the hobby mingling around. The air is almost buzzing with activity.

Batteries are in storage mode and the A10 is loaded, ready to transport. The grass just might not get cut again tomorrow :)

        • Got a few sorties in today after not flying it for a few months. Now has the Double D nozzles. Flew great, as expected. No bouncing. Still a major head turner at the field. Love this plane.

I do. Go see my earlier post about it, where I answered your prior question …………………….. https://www.hobbysquawk.com/forum/rc...721#post140721

It flies great with these and the Gens Ace 5000mah, 6s. This plane is fairly heavy to begin with, that a heavier battery like the Heavy Duty doesn't make any difference.

              • My plane was hung up but I took it down and threw in my 2 Heavy Duties just to show where I have them during flight. This achieves a CG of ~86mm. I like that idea of stacking them and those same batteries will fit in the middle Velcro position (need longer Velcro). I just don't know if I can get it to balance. I'll give it try one of these days.

                  • I was able to test out my new upgraded main gear today and they work great! I also added a felt disc to the axles to reduce the landing distance. I was able to land in 120 ft. I can reduce it even more if I tighten the wheels.
