Man, that's some plane.... I'm not sure you even need a sound module?? It sounds pretty rad as is and the brakes are great!! How do they actually work? Magnetic?
I think so.
Here is a link to the brakes:

I don't know if it's because there was no wind or not but your control movements on the sticks are incredibly smooth! Kudos on the flight!

Thanks. For an EPO foam jet she's quite heavy and I suppose that has something to do with it. Also I don't fly on windy days. Mornings are the best. Anything after 8:30 and you will usually find me packing up to go home. That's usually when the wind picks up around here.
RE: Anyone else chompin' at the bit for the FW 90mm SUPER SCALE F-16?
I have had a slow start with my new F16. The circuit board stopped working about 10 seconds after I plugged in the battery. Got a new one in a few days from Motion RC. Thanks guys.
On my maiden flight, I had a hard landing and broke the main plastic plate attached to the rear bulkhead that holds the main gear rear supports. When trying to fix it myself (parts on backorder) I uncovered what I believe could be a major problem. Checked out the suspension on the mains and found out, at least on my F16, they don't work at all. At first I thought they were simply stuck or frozen (both of them?!?!) but when I tried to take it apart, I realized that the spring is way too strong, in my opinion, to do anything. Using all my strength, I could barely get it to move a fraction to remove the screw holding the spring in. It is almost impossible to put it back together by yourself without another person trying to compress the spring to get the screw back in. And that was done AFTER I removed the suspension part from the rest of the gear assembly. Have any of you actually tried to test your main gear suspension? I would caution that if you try to push on the top of your jet to check it out, you will crush the plane before the suspension works, unless it is just mine. That also may explain why the plastic bulkhead broke. Did I get a fluke or incorrect springs in the gear? Has anyone else noticed this? Please let me know. I have several other 90mm EDFs and none are so stiff that you cannot move them. Please let me know if anyone has had this problem. Thanks.

UPDATE: I also posted this message on RC GROUPS and got several explanations about the geometry of the main gear. It is not a direct up and down like most systems but rather a side motion. When I tried to move it that way the springs worked like they should. Hope this might help others who might have concerns. Thanks.

Cool vids! Mine has been down for the count for over a month...I exhausted the battery on an overly-ambitious sortie and it ran out of juice on a go-around and plopped unceremoniously on the ground from about 4 feet up hosing my nose gear mech. Been waiting for the parts to come back in stock. Looks like they should be in here in the next week or so.
