ah thanks, lol I was thinking white/red but never thought of bright orange
had a spray can with white already so I decided on the white just 2 days ago, will keep the orange in my mind though if the white isn't a good enough result in our dark grey skiesComment

Sounds like you might have one of those rare models where a wrong servo got installed. You might want to contact Motion or if you have extra channels to use hook it up on one of them and create a mix from the rudder to it.My YouTube Videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrz...4Q-xrOOtP2C-8wComment

You could purchase a servo reverser module for a couple bucks......Comment

Found this pic of my MIG 21 just before her maiden. I painted her with Tamiya acrylic. It is Japanese Navy Green (XF-11). Used a Paasche VL airbrush. I am going to get her out of storage and ready for the show in Grapevine in October! Love the way it flies!!!1 PhotoComment

I shimmed my nose up about 5mm. It helped a ton with take off from a paved surface so I am sure it will help a lot with grass as well! Also the CG can go way back on this plane! You don't wanna go too far but its further than you would think...Two questions: as you might have seen in my maiden vid I had some trouble rotating in time, barely got of the ground before I used up our 'runway'. Visibility was another issue lol.
Regarding the take-off:
- moved battery tray and velcro backwards already so I can move my lipos further to the back
- trimmed of the wheel doors some
- oiled the wheels
- might try to fly with the tanks next time as they shift the cg a little bit more backwards
If this won't help I can try to make the nosewheel strut 2-3mm longer.
Anything else I can do to make the take-off easier?
Regarding the visibility:
My plan is to add some brown camouflage Syrian scheme later during winter times. Meanwhile I think I'll just paint the tanks in a uniform color.
What color do you think is best to enhance the visibility?
- white?
- red?
- orange?
- ???

Hi Ray thanks for your good information. As I can't move my lipos futher to the back (battery tray is moved aft as far as possible already and my lipos are touching the back the of the compartiment) I tried with a slightly bigger front wheel.
50mm diameter instead of the stock 45mm. That's a few mm already and I had shimmed the front retract with 2mm spacers already, so I ended up with the same 5mm more AoA
all could be done without foam surgery, wheel fitted the strut without any problem
happy to report back that those 5mm made a big difference, I can take-of now after 2/3 or 3/4 of our 80metres grass runway now

Here's a vid of my Freewing Mig-21 with the RCGEEK centerburner installed.
Installation was really easy. The leds are really bright and they are a great help to follow my silver Mig-21 in the belgian skies. I really love the flickering effect
During my last 2 take-offs I was even a bit blinded lol
My friends were impressed as well, they thought I had a fire leaking at the back of my plane during my first take-off haha
This vid is a compilation of several flights, I did 10 flights in row with the centerburner :)
Mighty good job Chris & Air-Jon did !!!
I'm very pleased with this centerburner I installed in my Freewing Mig-21. It's very bright, even during the day and definitely a great help to follow your p...Comment
