Welcome to Hobbysquawck!!!Originally posted by rlcamden View PostAfter a 14 year hiatus, and only being back in the sport for a year, the hype of this thing sucked me in. Broke down and ordered mine today. Now for the waiting game of the group 2 shipments.
You just can't shake the bug my friend, no matter how long you been out...
This plane is probably the best thing in RC to ever come out...

Definitely Navy. VFA -103. Jolly Rogers. There have actually been 3 squads called jolly rogers. Too bad the Navy didn't go with a CAS plane like the A-10. But that hasn't been there main role.Currently flying: Twin 80mm A-10, 80mm F5, 80mm A6, 70mm Yak-130, 70mm F-16v2,90mm Stinger 90, 70mmRC Lander F9F, Flightline F7F TigerCat, Phoenix 46 size Tucano, Flyzone L-39
Out of Service: 80mm Mig-21,64mm F-35, 64mm F/A-18
I Want: 80mm A-4, twin 80mm F4J Phantom

"A-10 is a Air Force plane and hence will NEVER EVER have the vf-103 navy livery, but i shall stand by my arguement that skull and crossbones make any plane look badass."

When I was stationed @ NAS Oceana in the 70's with VA-35 (A-6) a good friend of mine was with VF-84(F-14) Jollies.Originally posted by bill34207 View PostThat's the famous Jolly Roger squadron. Flown by former Tomcat pilots. ;)
Best badass tail on the base back then followed by my squadrons Black Panthers and both squadrons were attached with the Nimitz in 77(year I got out)

The year I went in. Worked on T-2C Buckeyes VT-26. Then went to air traffic control. Even got back seat qualed with 20 hours back seat time. As an enlisted that was way cool. Fixed broke planes student pilots messed up.Originally posted by OV10 View Post

I plan on using my trusty Spektrum DX8 for this bird, but I'm going to have to pick up a new receiver. Not a fan of the clone Spekrtum style receivers, especially on a plane of this standing, and not really worried about telemetry either. Would any full range 6 channel or better Spektrum receiver fit the bill? Thanks in advance.
