Thanks guys. Just seemed like we were told about it give some imformation and then nothing. We all have to buget to an extent for the hobby and to some thats easy to do but some of us have very little to work with and when we do manage to get it saved things happening makes it extremely hard not to touch that you have suffered to put back so it will be there at the time you need it. Ive really wanted this plane since it was announced. Im really not much of an edf guy right now but would love to get the a10 down the road and the Avanti. I do love my prop warbirds though and the bigger the better. Before now getting what i really want would have involved a balsa plane and motor and electronics that then throws the price beyond what i can afford. Most of my balsa warbirds are 55" to 65" wingspans with a couple in the 85" size. So hope to get some good news soon. Thanka:)

As long as everything stays on schedule, yes!Originally posted by Grossman56 View PostRyan, do you think you'll have one in time for Nefi ? One of the birds I am really looking forward to seeing, especially in the air.

Might even have a couple other surprises.
We'll have the Avanti and at least 1 A10. I'm planning on bringing mostly Flightline and Freewing. If I have room I'll bring the FMS jug and my P40.
Whatever I can fit really.
Working on on getting some cool prizes courtesy MRC for the event as well.

Sounds great Ryan, so many planes, so little room !
I know the feeling, as soon as the Avanti gets here and I can take some measurements in real time, I'll start in on the plane stands. I figure on getting five in the truck box and the Tigercat will travel in style on the bed in the trailer. That way I don't have to pull wings.

Aros i have two at the moment. One is the 55" Phenix with an os55 2 stroke nitro engine and the same model again that im currently working on that is going to be electric. Mister OV10 was so kind as to share all of what he used in his with me as well as the wing radiators he added to his same airplane. With his permission i have been incorparating the same mods with the hurricane coolers. His is awesome and i was so glade he agreed to share his setup and mods with me. Hes really an awesome person to this hobby and people should be very glad that there are people like OV10 that will go out of there way to take pictures and explaine things like he has been doing for me. Anyhow how get the spitfire page up for preorder soon so i can spend this mony before something else happens and i halve to dip in it

I think the past two or so years has been a very good indication that manufacturers are beginning to embrace the value in offering larger class models. Years ago the engineering (or perhaps desire) wasn't there to offer quick connect/disconnect wings and other things that make even the larger models easy to transport. I would say a paradigm shift has been afoot, especially given the recent success of the new gen models coming out. While it was nice when Freewing released their 64mm A-10 a couple years back, it could never match the anticipation and excitement this 1700mm A-10 has. Not even close. You just can't get the same presence and feel with a smaller model as you can a larger one, even though smaller models will always have their place and supporters.
So while there will always be a demand for the small to mid-size class of models, the larger to giant scale models are gaining ground and popularity, especially with the advances in technology and engineering. And I couldn't be more excited as I, like so many of you, prefer the big birds.
It's an exciting time to be in the hobby, that's for sure!My YouTube RC videos:

I read these posts and must admit I am missing something here on an issue t hat I cannot find. In any case, if it is about Motion in a negative way, I must say that they are the best in the business. Any comments other than very supportive of the hobby are unwarranted. I was one of their very first customers, and have at least 50 or so planes from them and would not have it any other way. I only purchase from Motion now. I am a very demanding customer and will not settle for second best. I think this says it all.
