BB, Great to 'read' your voice, been awhile. You know my choice, Prusa i3 Mk3S, but it's the only one I have ever owned and was my choice after much research at the time. Anyway, I just converted my Mk3 to the Mk3S with a $20 upgrade Hot-end kit from Prusa and changed to a .3mm nozzle (smaller as .4 is the standard). I had to reset the 'first layer height' is all. Amazing detail now, though print times are longer and worth it. I bought the kit to save some bucks and it was an easy build and calibrate. I don't know your demands for quality, but I'm now looking for a second printer which is an SLA resin printer. These produce high detail and the Elegoo looks like the ticket for now. 3DP Fans, Test printed some Exterior Parts for the FW F-18C. Will mark out positioning on the model and scale the parts to final. I'll post more then with files if there is interest. Best, LB

Just need to run some airfoil analysis to decide on a wing airfoil before I dive in. Thinking between the Clark YM-15, NACA 2415, and NACA 3712 (close to scale)

DM, Hey how's your cockpit build going? Pictures? I will post STL Files of the vents, etc when I get back to the fuselage and "correct the sizing". Right now I'm working on painting and lighting the Vertical Stabilizers. I received my graphics from Callie and those are great, so lots to do. Best, LB

Its what's called a black wing ebw160, I bought the plans and files for this one to rejuvenate my n9mb project. It is weird to fly but suprising smooth too.

I ended up purchasing a Prusa Mini. It's going through some growing pains as I expected with a new release, so I waited until I'd be in the order que that took several months before shipping to provide them time to fix any "new product blues". Ha-ha. With it, I ordered two filaments of Prusament PETG, which seems like a decent all around versatile filament type without too much trouble printing and no need for an enclosure, yet rather resilient. You all know much more than I do about that though from experience, so I'm all ears.

TC, I think 'ya dun good'. I read up a bit on the 'Mini' and thought it pretty slick. I am surprised that it is a back-order item. That is a good thing if demand is that high. I might recommend you go ahead download the Prusa Slicer PE program for your computer from Prusa and some of the STL files in these forums and get familiar with the options available in the Slicer PE program. It is amazing the differences in print quality by adding or deleting "supports" or which 'face' you place on the printer bed. You might also check out any of the primer videos by Prusa, if you have not already. I refer to those still when trying to improve print quality. Did you purchase the kit version or fully built version. I have used HatchBox PETG and like it for any print that needs strength or is exposed to excessive heat. I use HatchBox PLA mostly and their ABS as well with great results. Best, Steve

Thank you Steve! That is great information. I have watched Prusa's videos and they have been very helpful. I haven't downloaded the Prusa Slicer program yet, but I will do that today to begin learning more about it.

It appears the Prusa Mini is sold only as kit (in a way, but requires minimal assembly), but it bolts together with three primary pieces from what I understand from the videos online.

The ETA is mid June for any current orders, so it definitely seems like they are very backed up on orders. I don't mind too much as long as it's not much longer, but a little added delay hopefully helps them sort issues (which there have been some judging by ownere posts on the Prusa forums and YouTube video reviews) before I get mine.
