A few shots of some of my aircraft at todays electric event in Benbrook, TX today. Perfect weather, and lots of great flying.

F1, Wow, great photos of some of your aircraft. Beautiful models of which the heli and Mercury capsule shot is quite realistic. Bravo Zulu, Sir. Best, LB

      Ps: Your B-17, which manufacturer?

Thanks Elbee! Was definitely happy with how the capsule recovery shots turned out. Ended up getting pretty close to the original photo that I was trying to replicate:

As for the B-17, it is the Hobbyking 1875mm model, modified with scale sized props and the retracts from the Freewing B-17.

Got the Robans out today, did mostly hovering because I haven't flown for a bit, also wanted to see how my new pilot looked in the Magnum PI and with the lights on, I think he looks about the right scale, need to get some pilots in the Cobra now, not sure what size I need though to look right, here they are after hovering, they are ready to be put away again until I get more time to take them out for some full flights.

For the cobra, I used the 10" warbird pilots. He sent with the white helmets and I painted them the color I wanted them. I did chop about an inch off of them... which is easy to do with the warbird pilots.

Oh good, thanks for the info sir, the 15" pilot in the Hughes 500 is from Warbird pilots as well, I had to chop that one down too, he was just to tall and hitting his head on the top of the cabin window, it was hard to take a pair of scissors to a $110 pilot but once I made up my mind, I went for it......

The P-51 & P-40 looks great in flite metal, or aluminum tape.

I took a FPV flight chasing a big ViperJet at full speed. Very smooth lead pilot in calm air. Lots of fun!

I wanted to test out the old WW1 & WW2 ace pilot adage of waiting until a bandit fill up the windscreen before pulling the trigger. So I went up against a FW F-22 Raptor in my Viper 90 to see if indeed I can follow closely for a gun attack. It did not turn out as I expected...

Thanks Coconut! We don't normally notice wake turbulence flying from the ground. That was a surprise!
Nice camera angle DCorsair! Makes the smooth flying Cobra look scale. Consider adding another perspective from the cockpit, get double the enjoyment

Got this Raptor 50 awhile back and finally got it out for a maiden today. Spent the past few evenings getting it set up and back to "airworthy" status. Always great to get out and burn some nitro

Sweet, I do remember those Raptor days, that heli sold like crazy when it came out, had several myself, nothing like flying a Raptor on nitro....

I have 2 others on the shelf. I think one will stay as a parts donor and the other I picked up on Marketplace not too long ago. Motor is seized and I think I'm gonna convert it to electric

We are having fun dogfighting from the cockpit using head-tracking FPV and reflector sight. Wondering if the shots would actually hit? Time to install a laser tag system…

Corsair, I had Adam come up with a TC replica for me. So far I haven’t been able to finish the build due to work. I didn’t think it was right to make the Island Hopper scheme and not put TC in it.

On another note, I really want to cut down my landing gear struts on my MH-6.

On another note, I really want to cut down my landing gear struts on my MH-6.
Yeah, I thought about seeing if I could get a TC pilot made or find something close, but I guess mine is the modern tourist version so no TC in mine...

I thought about chopping the legs on my Magnum as well, I did my AH-6 and the OH-6, those were really shortened, on the Magnum it just needs to be shortened very little to look more scale, I just haven't done it yet, its very easy but time consuming, to lazy I guess.
