Received mine last night. No issue with assembly and it’s now ready to fly. Just for kicks, I recalibrated esc since the motor didn’t start spinning until about 1/8 stick.
Only my second EDF. After the A10, I had the F4 ready in 1/3 the time. Seems all the motion jets follow the same method in assemble.

I know this isn't going to get past the scale police but I like it...
I've always loved the scale nozzles of the F-15 and when I saw the first pics of the F-4 I thought they might work on it.
I pried the plastic nozzle covers off with a pick then cut the foam on the stepped edge which is just slightly larger than the diameter of the F-15 nozzles after you remove the fuselage end (see pics). After cutting the foam off I cut a slot around the edge to allow the lip of the new nozzle to fit in then glued inside the slot and around inside the nozzle.

kind of new to EDF, other than making sure wires are connected and not making contact with fan, any other pointers? I did pull hatch cover and didn’t see anything alarming, followed by a spool up.

On occasion, the plugs from the motor will barely be seated to the ESC wiring. I use color coded heat shrink on all three leads (after a rotation check) to secure them on all my models. Also, checking the ESC mounting is important so nothing moves out of the airflow or gets sucked into the fan. I have had the motor and fan units have loose screws too, so check them and the fan to motor screw as well...
