It's not the covid itself it's lack of employees. People are still being paid to stay home. Hopefully though that changes in the coming months.

I'm so sorry. I just saw the notification from FedEx pushing your delivery date back. I'm unsure why. Checking into it but we're likely at their mercy.Originally posted by Gilatrout View Post
...and it is already showing as delayed. I really really hate FedEx. Consistently delayed regardless of weather.

James - they don't hate you... they've actually gotten much better in the last 4 months IMO... it's the USPS that hates you, but they really suck, have always sucked, and will continue to suck... additionally on the Fedex contrary, my order was originally scheduled for Monday delivery and it's been moved up to tomorrow... 👍👍👍😎

USPS has been annoying, but on the date they said it would be.Originally posted by jasmith41 View PostJames - they don't hate you... they've actually gotten much better in the last 4 months IMO... it's the USPS that hates you, but they really suck, have always sucked, and will continue to suck... additionally on the Fedex contrary, my order was originally scheduled for Monday delivery and it's been moved up to tomorrow... 👍👍👍😎
FedEx on the other hand sent me out for delivery emails for 2 weeks without actually delivering anything. When I called, they assured me that it would be delivered the next day. The same person couldn't answer why that day was any different from every other day they didn't deliver it.
I also had FedEx claim they delivered something at a particular time, but the security cameras proved otherwise.
Last week I ordered 2 things at different times from same company. FedEx was shipped first and delayed twice. USPS was shipped 2 days later and both packages were delivered on the same day.
Motion also has a part from a plane in the dents and dings section where FedEx neatly punched a hole through the box.
Except for the last bit, all these events have happened in the last three months
So yeah... FedEx

I ordered three things, three independent orders off ebay that were sent USPS, all supposed to be delivered the end of last week or over last weekend, neither showed movement. I notified two sellers that I never got their items, one refunded my money (ordered the same item Amazon next day and already have it), one hasn't. The third was a high dollar item that showed it made it to Charlotte Monday and then nothing but "delayed'.
Seems to be about average for USPS lately.

The biggest problem I've faced with the postal service here in Canada is that once the big box arrives at the port of entry, it gets sent to the WRONG city. It takes several days for it to get scanned and re-directed back to me. They need to clean their bar code scanners more frequently.

The basic unpacking out of the box to finished assembly is less than an hr. To install all your "stuff" (RX, chokes, etc) and to set up the throws and any gyro you might put in, maybe another hr. or less. Then it's ready to fly. If you're going to do a couple of other things like what I did (coupling the light connectors to make one connector), a little longer. If you're going to Minwax it as I did, that's another story. If all you're doing is to get it ready for the maiden, it's possible. You can always do the rest later. It all depends on how "fiddly" you want to be.Originally posted by GliderGuy View PostMine still showing delivery by end of day tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed. Saturday should be a fair day for a maiden, if I can get 'er done by then. Probably wishful thinking.
