  • Thanks for posting Shirty, many thank to the Aussie vets who have fought beside our country so long. One of my friends at the airport was a Vietnam vet in the EMU, a half US, half Aussie helicopter unit, and has had nothing but praise for your guys.

How would we acquire an A-10 sound file set if it becomes available? Would you carry it? Costs?
The Model Sound Inc sound system and what is preloaded for me. This will be great. Have some wiring to do.

I recommend printing off and reading the instructions thoroughly. They are quite extensive. Did you get the software as well?

....and I never haddda better time than being entertained in '74-'75 by Aussie x-Vietnam heli pilots in the jungles of Irian Jaya while sippin the only suds available: Victoria Bitters (still remember that bad aftertaste 40 yrs later) !! Flew sum scary flights with them into the highlands from the coast to supply some missionaries. Hand pumping Avgas from barrels that we had to carry along.....

                          • G'day boys,

Firstly, thank you all very much for all the kind words. Really appreciate it. A few of my flying buddies are ex servicemen, I told them about these posts today at my club, and they all were really appreciative and said to pass on their sincere thanks. Good onya fellas. Then I was treated to a lot of Vietnam stories about Americans. Mainly bat crazy us helicopter pilots picking them up under fire, and devastating us air power and artillery saving their bacon. Had a great day flying and hearing war stories today.

So thanks very much again fellas for the comments, was really good of you and I know the old boys aprreciated it.

Second, omg that video has me pumped to get my a10. Looked pretty windy (like a normal flying day here), and the a10 looked really solid. Cheers Ryan and mike and nice flying mate. Also really impressed with its throttle authority and slow speed handling. This is gonna be such a cool bird to fly. I'm excited! That box better be on its way shortly lol.

                            Cheers fellas. :)

                            • I was either not born.....too young...too old... or not in the right country... However I have great respect for ALL those that fought for their country and the freedom we have today..I despise those that for one reason or another show contempt and disrespect what you have done to get that freedom..YOUR SERVICE IS NOT FORGOTTEN. Sorry Mod...A pet hate of mine.

Regarding the door not closing after the strut deploys, you can't reprogram the IC, but we can. I'll look into it for you. :)

As for the cockpit photos, I'll try to access those photos and reload. It's often difficult getting in here from China, but I'll try.

Well said, Shirty! Such things can never be overstated.

Ryan, since you have one of these beauties now, any chance you could post the height and width of the ladder door panel lines? Please?

I just received your PM. I'll answer here. It may be the weekend before I see her again. Absence does make the heart grow fonder. Mike is doing the build on this one and has it in his possession. I'll make a note to measure the wings and take a look at the ladder panel.

On the wing if I had to guess I'd split 67 and round up = 34 - 8 for the fuse gives a guess of 30" a wing give or take. I'll measure next time I see it.
