  • The waterslides are for the 50 utility markings and the 3 livery's are peel-n-stick.
The write up didn't denote that the livery's was stick on but it was separated with the word "and".;)

      • Really, any progress to the location? Does the ship have a locator like flight following for aircraft? Almost mid May and a lot of edf events coming up.

        • They are definitely on their way! I can't give any specific date but nothing has changed with our ETA (late May) as of this moment. A few more weeks and she's in your arms! ;)

I personally would prefer the water slide type because they look better but at this point it will be what it is. BTW any new update on the ETA ? Brad

Too bad for me, I guess you only have one shot with the nose art on a compound curve. Oh well. Any tricks out there for placing the nose art without misplacing it?

                    • Looks like they worked on the production model, so Guy's & Gals...Have at It.....! Strategically cut "slits' should help bend the decal into the right areas. Nobody said it wasn't going to be interesting. "YOU CAN DO E-E-E-ET....JUST GET TO THE CHOPPA.....(he says in his best Arnold Schwarzenegger voice) LOL.

Brad, the nose art decals look like water slides to me.... Maybe I'm wrong but that's what they look like.

                        • For self adhesive decals you can lay a light misting of soapy water over the surface before applying the decals. That will allow re-positioning of the decal once it's on the surface. The decals they have been including in their kits of late, seem to be closer to rub on dry transfer type decals. Not sure how the soapy water method would work for these. Fortunately, you can use some of the spare markings to test that theory.

Hi, the user ColtPilot chose to use his own A10 cannon sound. This is NOT our stock A10 cannon sound which has been validated as authentic by an ex A10 pilot.

I have yet to download the sound bite I have. The sound is the original sent with card. The sound recorded was in a controlled environment. The sound I want to download is from an actual live fire excercise. As a retired military Navy air traffic controller and working out of Davis-Monthan AFB, I know my sounds. I have also been to the range for live fire excercises. I use the tx to cut the original sound short so as not to hear the click at the end of the clip, the barrel stopping. Still I will order another one for the bigger FW.

I would agree that just from listening to the youtube clip, the brrrt sounds underwhelming. But one benefit of MSI’s system is that it is fairly easy to edit sounds (I have several of these, and change sounds all the time). For one thing, make sure the volume is optimized. I doubt that clipping would alter this sound effect much (it is not Beethoven), so probably going a little aggressive on the volume is good (perhaps adding some compression if you start to hear the clipping).

Anyway…, if you recorded that with the tiny mic in your cell phone or video camera (sitting in the open air on your driveway), I doubt it is an accurate representation of what it sounds like live anyway. If it sounds good to you live, that is what matters.
