I doubt that clipping would alter this sound effect much (it is not Beethoven), so probably going a little aggressive on the volume is good (perhaps adding some compression if you start to hear the clipping).

Anyway…, if you recorded that with the tiny mic in your cell phone or video camera (sitting in the open air on your driveway), I doubt it is an accurate representation of what it sounds like live anyway. If it sounds good to you live, that is what matters.
True. The sound bite I put on YouTube with my LX A-10 is the sound I want to put on the card. Sounds much better as it is from a live fire excercise with professional telescopic mics to pull in the sound. I'll have to play with it a bit more.

    • Those of us who ordered both the FW A-10 and the Avanti (early pre-order) may get them at very similar times if all goes well, ha-ha. That's going to be plane overload. I sold a lot of my jets so that's good for space, but I still don't have much space LOL. I think I may have to hang them on the ceiling since most are already hanging on the wall.

I'm in the same boat T-Cat. Sold several to make room for both the A-10 and Avanti. Theeeeen I stumbled upon a deal that I couldn't pass up on a 1/3 scale Fokker D-VIII with a 100cc electric:Scared:. Awwww, what the heck. We didn't need a sofa in the living room anyway. Those milk crates will do just fine:)LOL.

                  • I have to check back through the thread tonight on a laptop since my phone doesn't allow me to search within the thread for topics. Long ago (and it could have changed by then) I remember Alpha saying this jet should be coming with a large external BEC to power the electronics, but did anyone that received the production model recently confirm that it comes with one, or just internal BEC's on the ESC's. I still have to watch the build thread, so that may answer the question too.

The assembly video shows an external BEC. Mike pulled it thorough ahead of the battery and ESC servo wires.

                        • IF there are no customs issues, I would say the end of next week is going to bring an email notification to a lot of happy A-10 customers. :)
