I will probably just use some styrene to make what looks like a camera lens. Same for the Mavericks.

    • A big thank you to fellow Des Moines Modelairs member Rick Konopka for taking these pictures of my Freewing 80mm A-10 Warthog a couple of weeks ago at our warbird fun fly.

        • I got 2 Mobious cams and both do the same thing...
Sent the first one back and sent back said it was ok after they made a couple adjustments...
I ordered another and it is doing the same thing, I am assuming it is my video software or video card, any ideas???
          Video below...

          • Hey guys, I thought I would share my files if anyone wants them. I 3D printed up some parts to cover up that ugly gatorback that popped up after my first day out at field. Not true to scale. It's a turtle deck, sides, and a seat which was given to me and I only used half the seat. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2430538
now if I can get a new front gear connecting pin I can fly her again.

The video looks perfect to me. Mine looks exactly the same. Nice flight by the way.

I just watched video on youtube to make sure it was uploaded and it looks great... What the heck, looks like crap on my laptop when I play the videos back, that's why I never uploaded maiden and subsequent flight videos...
                Any ideas would be appreciated...

What software is your laptop using to play the videos? Could be the issue.

Windows media player, not to smart when it comes to computers. I have windows 10 installed. The laptop is about 9 years old and otherwise works great...

There is the issue. Slower older laptop which you may not have enough memory to play the video properly or speed. Just a possibility m

But I am still flying on the original equipment...

                        • If anyone is interested in learning to flying the A-10C and all of its navigation and weapons systems in a PC flight simulator the DCS module is currently on a summer sale for 50% off until July 24.
I already had it for a while and its a great way to become more familiar with the Hogs capabilities. I ended up picking up the AJS Viggen this time and boy its such a sweet stable and easy to fly jet!

                            • The Foam-Tac glue and paint is almost dry, and it's back together with the new dome and inside pieces of the Pod. It provides a fun look for static display and some good added realism in comparison to just the solid foam look.

                                Looks great man, nice.

Hey tcat, I'm not 100% but seem to remember you are running the 45c 5000 turnigy graphenes? Are these your pics? Just curious, but how did you go for cg with the batts placed here? Did you still need a little up elevator dialled in for level flight, or did moving the second battery back cancel out the need for it? I'm not far off maiden and was going to copy these pics for the first flight as my best guess on cg with these batts, and just wanted to check first.
                                Cheers mate.

                                • Anyway, was out at my mates again today and did my last custom decals and learnt how to weather it. Just a clear coat left to go and she's ready. Can't wait. Did most of the weathering myself once I was shown how to do it, I think it turned out ok for my first ever effort. Since I'm going with a fictional RAAF scheme, I get to pick my squadron logo, and in keeping with the shark mouth I chose something I thought would fit well with this. Also did a couple of Aussie decals for the tail, raaf tail number etc. overall she's looking good imho. Can't wait to fly it, I've never put so much effort into customising one of my planes before lol. :)

Does anyone have a clue when nose wheel retract assembly's and struts will be available?

I ran out of talent and I am grounded... :Loser:

ID:	88157 Sorry everyone. Chatted with Matt on MRC last week and he said more A10s would be in stock this week. Seen on MRCs FB page that one guy got to use an old discount coupon and pre-order one yesterday, so I tried the chat again to ask about pre ordering one, and jetman Mike said there was no pre orders being taken and no restock for 4-6 more weeks. Very frustrating and I give up on the A10 and MRC also. They only get limited supplies in and very few replacement parts for their planes. Thats just bad business. Enjoy your A10s, and good luck waiting for replacement parts.
