Easy enough to do with minimal weight addition.

Did on mine... just in case...even it seems that fuse side inner walls were designed with a channel for that purpouse..this ship have lots of carbon rods on wing, tail, rear side of fuse but surprising why not on the front... anyway is not dificult to add.. just sand a little the square carbon tubes and a well vented area, used 30 min. epoxy and goes on...

I'm gonna need to rent a wider Uhaul trailer but at least they won't get damaged transporting them.
Any chance we could get a pic of your cradles without the planes and foam spacers? I need to create one and yours looks awesome.

        Thanks,

        Bill D.

          • Does anyone have a drop tank from the 90mm F-16 they would be willing to part company with?

I like what you've done, can you post a few pics without the plane to better help me understand the construction?

              • Bill and Dave, I will get some pics of a rack empty on my lunch break and get them posted up. Not a problem.

Did the same on mine using Foam-Tac. Had to replace my horizontal stab after the nappy velcro grass @ NEFI tore up my elevator and discovered that the horizontal stab had 2 - 6mm square CF rods in them and were a perfect fit in the fuselage channels after cutting off 2 inches of the length for a total of 22" length. It really does shore up the sidewalls of that fuselage.
                      FW really should do this.;)

                      • I also added carbon fiber to the side walls of the fuselage. If it makes me feel better, the small cost and minimal effort is completely worth it. I cut one long 6mm diameter (with 4mm inner diameter) tube to two 15 inch long pieces, one for each side and used the white expanding Gorilla glue to secure them.

Wish I could help whereas I "HAD" (the operative word here) 2 extra drops from my Seagull Skyraider and one was put on the HSD Skyraider you saw # NEFI and now I've taken artistic latitude in putting the other as a centerline "bunkerbuster" on the Artic Thunder.

                              Thanks Pete. That will work..

I picked up the extra weapons set for a several reasons, but mainly for the Mavericks and the extra hardware. That was before I knew the hardware was available on the F-16 parts page.
Since I have the set, I decided to cut down three of the extra hard points to use on the fuselage.

I've ordered some smart bombs from Parkflyer Plastics. Depending on how they come out, they may go on the three fuse racks.

Hey Pat, are you still selling those cool ordinance decals? If so I'd be very interested. Also ColtPilot, is all your ordinance white for a different livery or what? I think the white ordinance would really help with plane orientation in the air. Not to mention the fact that the decals stand out much better. Brad
