I am going to try a small fan to move air through and out of the canopy/cockpit while flying coupled with conventional keeping it in the shade methods. It's worth a shot.

Not wanting to dislodge the canopy. I fired up the butane torch and went at the crutch from the underside using an old steak knife. This leaves no debris inside.
Added 6 more holes. Can't see from top to much as it will be dark in the hole ;)
Took the shot over the yellow to hi lite.
P.S. Am a big fan of your new idea ;)

Pete, did you need a pushrod keeper (the white part that secures the L-Bend on the pushrod, or the ball link? I have some extra pushrod keepers if you need one. I can mail it at no cost to you. We need to get you airborne man.Originally posted by Pete Lane View PostI was purchasing my Navy cat tubs for around ten bucks from Ed on RCG he made them himself.Another idea is to look over at park flyer plastics and get an idea. The green house effect
certainly needs to be addressed and as I was drilling holes in my crutch I was thinking ( vent ? Vent to where ) no moving air and the fuselage interior is hot inside as well.Heat rises so venting the bottom....hmmmm...lol
I wish I had seen the epoxy coating idea before painting and gluing it back together. If and when the new design comes out I will buy that. But alas I am going into my second week of wait because the factory shorted me a push rod buckle and their OOS. Stuff happens but this is a 600.00 jet.
For such a small infraction I would think canabalizing a kit for defects and replacements might be in order. Small to some....bigger to the customer. Sure I could drive to the hobby shop and spend 20 bucks on gas and Dubro. But I want it OEM and the factory needs the feedback.

Must of been SOP for the Wright brothers...lol
Any who. Without beating a live horse. Before going off to paint I opened up all 4 side fuse vents. As luck would have it...the crutch floor deploys downward so that a cold air intake could be used in flite. A scoop on side of fuse. And hole would do it. A short tube inserted
would make it pretty. The direct UV sun power and the heat generated are the problem. As even ice cubes melt....lol

Well... I had it almost perfect, decided to fill in the gap in the middle with a little black paint. Didn't realise I was resting the side of my hand on the decal, and tore two of the front teeth off over the cannon when I moved my hand, and promptly destroyed it trying to get it off... :-S argghhh. Fillied in the hole with black and guessing I'll try painting in some new teeth today lol. Or maybe mines now a gummy shark. :)

Thank you, very nice pics. full scale lookingOriginally posted by wvrailfan View PostEddie, the cockpit looks great. I am planning the same type of upgrade as soon as they have some more in stock on the spare parts page.
I got in three flights today. Bounced one landing, the other two were great.

I've traced out cockpit pieces to fit and will use 3m spray to stick them down. Gotta go light on it though. I'm using a heavy duty paper and the tracings will fit on a 8.5x11 sheet if so inclined. I found it easier to wrap around the edges. Just cut and trim to fit your application. I still have to do the seat but may not need to if I use the pilot pictured. Another day time for bed.1 Photo

It looks fine Shirty, and thankfully the teeth of a shark have variation too, so yours may be even more realistic :).

Ive now logged 14 flights on mine. Grass ops. Everything has held up fine and can't get her to bounce. This plane makes an intermediate rc pilot look like a pro.Originally posted by ColtPilot View Post
It's almost like my FMS A-10, couple great landings and then going about fixing the landing gear. Shouldn't use this one on grass fields or rough terrain as it spells "gotta fix something".
