Official Freewing Twin 80mm/90mm A-10 Thunderbolt II Thread

Just finished putting together my 80mm A10! One hour assembly time is pushing it,well for me anyways. Got the basic assembly done. By the timeI got my throws set,rx installed it was almost another hour.
The graphics threw me on the set that wasn't actually peal and stick,but a transfer type. I do like the water transfers though. Now the nose are is also water transfer? Any tips in applying the nose art? I've done plenty of graphics,so just a tip should point me in the right direction.
I feel like a total rookie,the BEC from the esc goes into the rx? Im using a 6ch rx from my Graupner MZ24 so there's not a battery port,so I guess I just run a y harness and plug the BEC and my throttle into the throttle channel? Anyone run a separate RX battery?
One last question. We're still using the recommended throws as per the manual,any expo needed?
Im super stoked to fly this A10,since the videos I've seen it looks and flys so well.

I pretty much use 30% expo on everything and no dual rates. Brad

Update, yesterday I finalized a small production run for oleo main struts and trailing link nose struts, to be sold as separate Options. Y'all can mix and match to your heart's desire. Pricing will be similar to comparably sized struts from Freewing plus a marginal percentage, even though this is a significantly smaller batch than our normal quantities. Production and overseas shipping times as they are, though, these won't arrive for 6-8 weeks, or so.

We'll also be adding different spring sets as Options. Material options are limited in these quantities, but it's at least an alternative option for those of you wanting different rebound or tension values.

More info will be published as we get final photos, pricing, ETA, but for now, you heard it here first.

Thanks so much for your response Alpha I really, really, really apprecate it. Can we preorder the oleo mains? I deffinitely want two pairs and maybe the nose too. this is my first post here, sorry for my bad english.

A big gratulation to the developer team of the A-10 warthog, its a great and wounderfull flying model :Cool::Cool:.
Take off, flight and landings are easy and the handling is simple.

I do a few modifications, for example both Batteries 6S 5000 SLS in the back position, cg are more back at 86 mm (middle of the front carbon tube), external LiFe for the Receiver,
rivets are made with a pencil, weathering with Tamiya Set and a varnish coating with acrylic semi gloss.

Taxi time included. I'm not pushing it accept for take off. All flying at or just above half throttle.

Thanks, Tim. That makes much more sense to me and matches what I am seeing with my RT 5000's as well. I am looking forward to trying some 5800's and 6250's.

I am done with the clear coat finish now. Competed the setup and and radio settings. This bird is ready to fly now. I have to get it out of the shop and finish other planes now, because I have other planes on the way that I will have to start on :)/
