I wouldn't think the demand would be like it was when this plane was first introduced to the time after the first few private reviews showed up. There are a lot of the originals out there and I don't think there are the same numbers who would buy another one just for a different color scheme. Well, I wouldn't anyway, unless there was some other significant upgrade. On the other hand, the next batch of new schemes may not be as large as the first, so probably you're not wrong to put your name on one now.

I hope they add the mods to the new scheme...and double check the elevator and aileron servos so they match. Digging them out is not good. It would be better if they were in holders like the Scorpion but that would add to the cost. Not necessary, but I would also like to see the flap servo position corrected. Has anyone found a definitive cause for the random flap sticking? I bought the board/cable pack and it looks like the wing boards were sent back from machine production soldering to be re-soldered by hand. There is flux and tip marks. The pins are even and they are working so far. Love this jet!Originally posted by Patrnflyr View PostI’ve been on the fence about this one but so many good reviews and possibly this new scheme, it’s a no brainer. Will that new Admiral Carbon 5100 70C 6S fit in there? Also, am I right finding the only modification needed is the nose gear brace? And where can you buy one? Sorry, this color scheme has me hyped again like the F-4 release

If you want one better get on the list. Who knows what color it will be but in my book spraying a little red over the yellow isn't significant and in my book looks uglier than original. Mine by the way is orange and white but may be going to all yellow soon, with roundels to look like a YellowJacks, Folland Gnat.

I found out the hard way. I just rebuilt my Avanti after after a crash trying to do some fancy stuff plane with into a spind I could get out of after 90 flights.Originally posted by Hardway View PostGlad the receiver bit the dust on the ground!!!!!!:Cool:
Well rebuilt the plane used the same rx that was in the crash. Just put the plane in the air maybe 100 ft in the air. The radio reported back no signal and down it came.
Boy was I piss. Bought another fuselage started over again. I will never put a rx that was in a crash back into another plane.

If I’m not mistaken and my memory serves correctly, the original outrunner motor was 1850kv and not 1800kv and likely misprinted in the specs. Your inrunner 1820kv and the stock 1850kv outrunner power systems perform very similarly. The red Avanti looks to be coming with the same 1850kv outrunner power system is did in the first yellow version.Originally posted by SmokeNgun View PostQuestion: My first Avanti came with a 1800kv setup. I upgraded to a 1820kv inrunner. I didn't see much of a different in speed. So the Avanti is coming with a 1850kv outrunner.
Is this any faster then the 1800- 1820kv EDF?

Hi everyone - this is my first post to this forum, as I am also a member of the A-10 80mm forum as well. The A-10 is an awesome airplane to fly, but I also wanted a sport jet to add to the fleet. Anyway, I saw the e-mail first thing yesterday morning on the Red Avanti, and I immediately placed the order. Funny thing though - it looked like it was in stock when I placed the order and was definitely NOT in pre-order when I went into the page to purchase. I was definitely able to add it to my cart as though it was in stock and paid for the plane. I then received an e-mail that that the order was placed and when I went into my account on MRC, it said the following: Your order is confirmed
We've accepted your order, and we're getting it ready. Come back to this page for updates on your order status.
So then, I went back into the site as though as I was going to order another Avanti, and it then clearly said "Pre-Order", with no provision for adding to my cart. Does this mean MRC had one or two in stock when I placed my order?? Just thought I would mention this to see if anyone might be able to tell me - I know I can always call MRC to find out. Thank you all for sharing the information you have so far, as I can see that I will be adding the nose brace for sure, and checking out the flap control boards for those recessed pins that have caused problems with flap deployment. Hopefully that's all fixed in this new production run. Happy Flying!! :)
Regards,
Jim

Thank you for the info, xviper! I’m counting down the days!!!Originally posted by xviper View PostI think you could always "add to cart" and order a pre-order so long as they haven't exceeded the number they know are coming. I alluded to that in my last post. I don't believe they ever have any in stock on a new pre-order. You'll see it late Sept. or thereafter.
