If you're on a finely mowed and leveled grass field you shouldn't have any problems. I haven't flown my bubbletop yet but all my other similar planes handle it beautifully. Although I must give credit to our Club's Field Maintenance folks, they keep our field almost like a golf course. However, I've seen some videos on YouTube flying this bird off a grass field loaded with clumps a crab grass and though it made the plane bounce around and sound like a bucket of bolts, it handled it better than expected. Those kinds of fields really beat the heck out of your plane so plan on a lot of preflight and maintenance if the field isn't groomed but hey, that's just me. ;);)

I fly off of grass that is far from perfect...It's not really tall grass, relatively short but it's bumpy. Handles it like a champ.
Not to mention goosing the throttle and she's airborne within 15 feet or less. LOLMy YouTube RC videos:

G........What Capt Mike's vid shows at the very least what should be basic SOP whether your doing PNP or ARF/scratch power plant installs;)Originally posted by Grover54 View Post
Got it! THANKS! This may be the ticket. I've never had to do that on any plane before but then again:Scared:, this is the very first PNP new out of the box plane for me. I've had a lot of ARFs but did my own motor install and ESC programming so I bet calibration is the ticket. Stay tuned.Warbird Charlie

That really nails it for us. In year's past we were all the guinea pigs. You would take the "PNP" out of the box, have to deal with any number of issues and problems just putting the darn thing together from fitment to missing pieces, etc...Then find all the things wrong with performance and flight dynamics of the model, hoping that V2 would be better. Or maybe V3 or V4 or V8! Our mindset is with these new generation models we are developing and have been developing with Freewing is to make sure the model that you and I receive at our door has already had all the proper engineering, research and development and flight/performance testing completed while finding the best balance between price point and amenity. Alpha continues to push the envelope regarding what is possible. The quality we are seeing these days with Freewing and FlightLine is what we have all deserved all along. As technology continues to improve, so will our ability to deliver outstanding foam models at a reasonable price point.Originally posted by Md_cobra View PostJust did the 6&7th flight today. Liking this Corsair better with every flight. It’s refreshing to be able to buy a product, use as intended and not be the R&D for the mfg. Good job Flightline!

HA! Gasoline was low enough that I walked to the gas station with a gallon can and a quarter. Got a full can and a candy bar (full size).FF gliders and rubber power since 1966, CL 1970-1990, RC since 1975.

....Sorry….. Hope your local support guys will help you find the issue soon. Let us know what you find out ..Originally posted by Grover54 View Post
Yeah, we sometimes forget (or at least I do sometimes) the basics. That's RC 101 but I'm still in the ditch so I'm going over to my mentor and he'll help me work it out.
All the best

If so, some details on him would be cool.
Sorry I missed you pilot question. Picked them up from this guy over at RCG. He can do different sizes and 1/2 body. Come painted.

The only fault with this model is the lift it creates. I have trouble keeping it on the ground during take off, grass or tarmac, she is off in fifteen feet at half throttle even in calm conditions. At nominal book CG position still finding that she climbs at full throttle when trimmed for level at medium throttle. Anyone else think a little downthrust might be nice ? Have added no elevator trim at full flap setting. Flaps are on a 2 second deploy.

Fault? What a terrible problem to have. Usually people complain about the totally opposite. If you think you have too much power and lift you can always load it up with weight. If you want down thrust put a couple washers on the top motor mounts. Personally I think it's just right by just easing the power in slowly.Originally posted by brk6188 View PostThe only fault with this model is the lift it creates. As for climbing when you apply full throttle I think it would be strange if it didn't climb. After all you are trimming for speed. If you give it more power (increase speed) it should climb as it's trying to maintain the speed you trimmed it for. This means it has positive dynamic stability which is what you want.

A&A Beeg. I'd be surprised if you didn't need to retrim at different throttle settings. It's why the trim wheels are worn on 1:1 A/C. LOL Best, LB"I am having an extraordinary ordinary life."~Lucky B*st*rd~

That is what makes the type so desirable for me. I can add weight in paint, scale add on’s, bigger heavier tires, and at last that 8000mAh battery to fly forever.
The less throttle to cruise and perform aerobatics the better. It looks more scale and flight times are phenomenal!
Who wants to fly an underpowered rock that has to be landed at 30mph after 2 or 3 minutes of flight.

Amen, the trim switch was right on the control wheel of the KC-135’s. Throttle change... ... trim change... ... SOPOriginally posted by Elbee View PostA&A Beeg. I'd be surprised if you didn't need to retrim at different throttle settings. It's why the trim wheels are worn on 1:1 A/C. LOL Best, LB
