Those are some great looking birds! I have a few flights in with the Admiral 6000 it’s seems very slightly nose heavy with the battery all the way forward and the stock ballasts in the nose. I’m contemplating removing one or two myself to see how much of a difference there is. I have my timer set to 8 mins and come down with about 3.8 in each cell. I tend to fly between 50-75% throttle so i think with the 6000 you could squeeze 9-10 mins if your just cruising around.

Welcome LL - I'm using a 4500 and get almost 8min using same throttle levels and I still haven't crossed the 80% used level. With a 6000 you should get 8 - 10 easy but I'd step test it over several flights to make sure. Good FlyingOriginally posted by LL_Shoval View Post

I know this is a "MRC" sponsored site but MRC no longer carries what I'm looking for though I went there first. ;) Anyway, does anyone have any experience with Banana Hobby? I've heard of them but this is the first doing business. The spinner I was looking for has been discontinued but I think I found it there. Called them 2 - 3 times and left VM and a couple emails with no response. I finally got with someone on their "Chat" Zen-desk and confirmed availability so I place an online order for several items. Got an order confirmation a couple days ago but no expected ship date and now they've gone dark on me after charging my card. Not a lot of money but this has become annoying? Are they legit?

I've bought 4 planes from them over the past 10 years. Yes, they are legit although they come from a troubled history of zero customer service. The only time you might run into difficulty is if you have a problem with the product. It was like pulling hen's teeth to get them to make it right. My last 3 planes have not had any problems so there was never a need to contact them. A few years ago, they hired someone for "customer service" who would be on the forums and try to mend fences. That person got so discouraged by the lack of company backing when she tried to make things right, that she quit. Since then, it has been my understanding that they've changed ownership and thing's haven't been as bad but like I said, I've had no need to contact them for service. Still, I've bought parts from them and I'll still buy a plane from them IF I really want it but I will always realize that it's a gamble. If there's something wrong with the plane, I won't think that getting proper service will be easy.Originally posted by Grover54 View PostI know this is a "MRC" sponsored site but MRC no longer carries what I'm looking for though I went there first. ;) Anyway, does anyone have any experience with Banana Hobby? Whatz up with that?:Confused:Originally posted by xviper View PostI've bought 4 planes from them over the past 10 years. I have no idea. That's weird. Did you make a complaint about something? If not, they may have you confused with someone else. I'd send them another email.Originally posted by Grover54 View Post

Very strange indeed. I did find out my order shipped today after all so life is good. I did lean on them a little because of their lack of response over 3 - 4 days but I wasn't rude. It's a moot point now anyway. I guess we've gotten spoiled here in the US with the level of quality customer service we get.:Cool:Originally posted by xviper View PostI have no idea. That's weird. I've bought two planes from them and I agree with your summary. I got their A-10(long before the MRC version) and it was pretty poor quality. Turned into a hangar queen. I also got their 2 meter P-40 like six or seven years ago and it still flies. Love the size but also poor quality. Every time I take it up at this point, I'm just hoping the receiver and battery survivesLOL. There is some youtube footage of my maiden flight in which one main gear would not come down but I managed to land it with no damage.:Cool:Originally posted by xviper View PostI've bought 4 planes from them over the past 10 years. It is probably referring to a custom motor and custom battery. You can modify a selected motor. I normally select an Electifly Rimfire that has the same length and diameter and close on the kv. I copy that motor then edit the kv to match the realworld motor. I do the same thing with the battery. To modify the weight an c rating. Keep in mind when selecting a battery, you are selecting 1 cell. You then have to adjust the battery config 6s 1p.Originally posted by sethscorsair View PostJust tried the realflight model on 6.5 it works good it says plane file refers to missing component frame but it flys about like the real one.

I have not maidened mine yet either, i make the gear bust off easily to make practice more realistic. Lord knows I need it lol.;)Originally posted by xviper View PostThe wheels come off if you don't grease the landings? On this Corsair? I have yet to maiden mine but this doesn't sound good.
