Yes, those are beautiful birds. Don't blame you for wanting one but at their price it's just eye candy for me. ;)

    • You might take a look at the fms 1700mm P-51 as Hardway mentioned. I have one and love it. Big 4 blade prop and nice retracts with inner gear doors plus retract tailwheel etc. If you get one get the retract upgrade.

      • Don't have this bird yet cause it is not the next one in cue for the fleet incinerator rebuild program but I did have to buy the prop assembly on the latest support equipment replenishment order to check it out.
Just received the Motion "care package" LOL and this prop assembly is a HOMERUN Flight Line. :Win: :Stars::Stars::Stars:
For modders of warbirds like myself, TI and DeltaDart this is absolutely phenomenal. :)
From the front/rear metal cross bracing tapped for 6 screws supporting these nice looking blades there should be no issue with blow aparts like there was with the FMS 17" 4 blade on the 1700 Corsair ;)
I got a couple of Varimoser 18.5" 3 blades that I acquired a year ago for the EMS F7F build and those buggars cost over a C note each.:Vomit::Loser:
Didn't have a choice then but we do now.
I know that DD is looking to shortened this(like 17") for use on his FMS F7F.

        • Here is the panel that I am using behind my 3D printed instrument panel. The instruments are about the correct size but have to be cut apart to make them line up with the 3D part. I am clear coating the paper print and gluing to the rear of the 3D part. More when it is complete.

          • Thanks Hiflyer! I will be sure to use it for mine when I get the 3D cockpit mailed to me next week!

Aros, I was asked to contact Callie Graphics with regard to a photo version suitable for use with the Corsair 3DP Cockpit Set, similarly to what they have available for the FlightLine Spitfire. I have asked if they would be interested in providing one for purchase, not that there's anything wrong with the OEM, just reaching out. I have offered to send them a 3DP Front Instrument Panel at no charge. I trust I am not over-stepping here, just making an inquiry on behalf of others who may not have the where-for-all to do some of these things on their own. If I am out of line here, please advise, as I would not want to tread on toes. Best, LB

Here's a new technique I just came up with on the F 22 instruments. Have the picture of the instruments laminated! Was at the printer the other day getting my Medicare card laminated and decided to go ahead and do the instruments as well. Works great!

I usually just use Gorilla tape over them.

                                  • Guys trust us, if we didn't have to raise the prices we wouldn't. It sucks. However it has to do with tariffs, licensing and other fees that force our hand. Profit margins are already very slim (we like to say we didn't get in this business to get rich but for the passion and love of the hobby). It's a sad fact of the current business climate, China and dealing with licensing contracts among many other factors. Perhaps others can comment more on the matter but that's the quick synopsis.

NO That Isn't Cool. I hope there's logic behind it other than supply and demand. :P

                                      • (Not purposely trying to change the subject but...)

                                        Maiden Success!

Took her to the school track after work. The usual nerves prevailed until she left the ground and then it was just FUN FUN FUN from then on! As great as this plane looks with the quality, she flies every bit the part as well. So well behaved with plenty of power to do any of the usual warbird aerobatics. The large prop sounds sweet! After some trimming (primarily due to the camera on my port wing tip) I felt like this was my 50th flight with her, not the maiden. Rolls, inverted, all so simple and effortless. After 6 or 7 patterns or so I dropped the gear, and full flaps on the approach...She just sunk down so easily with a perfect greaser. Even without flaps man the takeoff roll was like 15 feet if that!

Unfortunately my RunCam2 didn't survive the F-22 meeting a light pole last weekend so I had to use my old Keychain Cam #16. The HD isn't as sharp and crisp but better than nothing I suppose. After she landed I was grinning from ear-to-ear like a little kid. Probably what I love the best about this hobby. No matter your age, it makes you feel like a kid on Christmas morning all over again, and again, and again.

                                        • It just makes me upset that they raised the price! I haven’t purchased a new plane since June 2015. I had the 1450mm F4u from NitroPlanes.com and really liked it. Sold it and 18 other planes at a trade show and it’s the only one I really miss. I have been looking for a Corsair for about a year now so you can imagine my excitement when this one came out.
