Use this one and the 3040 has plenty of competition and it can turn 30000 faster! he certainly isnt the only choice in a good motor for a gearbox. We have all the world championship in that!

But that's just playing I hope people really don't get mad about it .... but seriously so far with only ten 1mm (apprx 18 AWG) strands in the slot you are only at 8.23mm^2 in the slot here and that is a single layer wind It looks very close to its limits in a lapped format. A FSCW 42mm competition pyro 650 has almost double that in the slot. The slot cut or stranding size truly needs to be different to maximize the fill. You would need a least 10 strand bundle in 1.0mm but then the pyro is still a smaller machine and u still need all that just to have the same copper in the slot. And then all the end turn losses... as compared to a FSCW hybrid that can also save the rotor, iron, and pm from unwanted harmonics. Please be sure to post data from this motor Id love to compare. I have a 5020 with the delta part complete in 13 AWG.

You certainly won out fill a FSCW winding a disjunct lapped winding arrangement. Look at all that air 👀The end turns are still not part of the torque production so you can do what you like with them but until you learn 1/4 and half turns you wont reach the low resistances of a short coiled FSCW. So far you don't have any significant copper there for any advantage the winding arrangement brings. The radial cuts of the cd Romulans are NOT tailored to lap windings. The Kw of 1 is also not enough against the African 12N10P Hybrid or Dieters 14 pole flussperren who both have Kw's that are higher, and they run just as clean.

Its the exact same winding scheme and Kw the rotor also weighs less. it has to have lower pm losses than a 20 pole because its less pm present. The price of magnets is also going up so this motor certainly cost more in material than an 8, 10, or 14 pole machine. Everything about it isn't perfect either. It has its own set of issues just like the rest.

This new "winding arrangement" is the same the 5FB pilots have already been using the 4 pole windings arrangement for years..... the winding arrangement is not at all new you just slapped a different rotor on it.

If the evolution of a 12 slot 10 pole to 24 slot is a stupid "Chinese idea" as he has posted why is that exactly what Dr Gerling and Guraquk did In Munich with their migration from the 12N10P to 24slot10 FSCW wye -delta hybrid to accommodate shifting the winding sets 5 slot apart on the same core which essentially is a integral slot winding and its very clean! with high copper fill, excellent torque recovery, very high efficiency and a "wunderful" power factor.

So instead of epithet and fallacy filled with eurocentrism I will expect to see such comparative data between a12N10P and the "new 20 pole wundermotor" with a lap winding with large 1.0 stranding on open radial slots originally designed for FSCW very soon.

This is what Munich is doing with PhDs DG and GD's 12N10P to 24N10P migration and fractionally slotted concentrated winding with a coil span of 2 which is still only 12 coils for the math experts. The iron under coils is essentially the same as a 12 slot machine.

Thats an excellent post with alot more to consider than just thick iron as I've also tried to state here. but now you get a 20 ton pressed coil in your face but no explanation of practical reference to a high performance slotless machine. Which he should know quite a bit about. I guess he does want to report it has a lower winding factor than a 4 pole so his post get weird close to these zones. Be careful!!! Because you used very strong points in a Rogerian way to explain your side and detail the typical response to it very well. That's how its done.

In der Zwischenzeit habe ich definitiv vor, einen Leopard zu bauen, falls jemand einen braucht. Der Abisolierer funktioniert bei Einstellung Nr. 3 für dünne Drähte ziemlich gut. Wir wollen nur eine Kv-Referenz für das P650-Eisen erhalten und dann füllen wir die Spule. Natürlich gibt es Lötpunkte, wie sie jedes Sternmotor-Äquivalent hätte. Das Delta ist der Pigtail des Sterns.

Ich meine, es scheint mir offensichtlich, dass der Motor mit dem richtigen Material aus Eisen und Kupfer immer 41 Lehner bei 480 Gramm sein wird, also sind die Theorien mit dem LMT 4125 und dem Scorpion HK5 4035 bei gleichem Gewicht bereits auf Eis gelegt. Der 4125 ist nur geringfügig leistungsstärker als der 4225 watts mit 393 Gramm. Selbst wenn der LMT mehr Drehmoment hat, scheint das Leistungsgewicht beim 4225 mit fast 100 Gramm weniger Gewicht immer noch besser zu sein

If you have a scorpion scrap box build the axial pole pair at 7/8 ratio You should have something in there close. 2x 25mm long pm pieces at slightly different widths. will fit your 5050 rotor Ralph.

Okay the single layer inner delta is terminated and can run here but lets wind the open end wye coils now -a-B-c-A-b-C. 3 wires left.
Essentially the wye starts connect to your inverter the wye ends connect to these terminals and the are in order the wye a phase feeds the a delta phase. Itz no mystery. You end up with AabBCcaABbcC with the serial connection. It is very similar to a pole amplitude modulation winding.
