The Russian Cyclon .40 is 3.2 kw at 31,000 rpm it weighs 310 grams. A Dubb Jett 40 is 340 grams. The p600 depending on the wind will be between 315 and 340 grams all day and the lil bomb can peak around 5kW at 30,000 so that is what the little power turd can do... Its extremely potent and scary on the 7X10 direct drive even at 8 s lipo. .I'm not running THAT in my kitchen. I tapped the throttle on the Futaba 10PX a few times and said oh hell no..... Its also quite loud.

I cant find the .40 pylon prop i just purchased to test. I have so much junk around here I lose things right in my face....When I find it and finish setting up a power supply that is not my drag cells i will run it on the various scrap iron around here.

The little 600 is right on pace with the best pylon engines. If you think about it its a little stronger. The last Metketmeijer Brothers .40 benched @ 2.5Kw at 30,000 rpm.

If I build a dedicated engine for the purpose the bearings would be turbine grade ceramics so about 300 dollars for a pair. They will never be replaced! and can run well over 100,000 rpm with load rating about 3 or 4 times a hobby grade radial bearing.

An NMB is not an electric motor quality bearing. That's fact. Its a general purpose bearing that works good enough for the average hobbyist. People looking for custom wound engines with 5 to 10 thousand dollar planes are not the average hobbyist though.
That would be a goal.

We have a different design philosophy. You want to perform yearly maintenance which you will so severely underpowered but if its possible Id like to not ever see engine I built again! To me that's a worthy goal One may never achieve but that's certainly what a customer would prefer. Endless running.

But im not greedy like some people....

And he's right since scorpion only reports 11kw for a 5040 so it will be grossly underpowered if it need 25 kW!!! its at least 10 short. no one will average 600 kmh with it because no one ever has....:speak_no_evil:
