"So where did you get the new springs and type and size? I can see that the gauge of wire for the spring is smaller. I'll either cut them down like George did or put these in if I can find a match for them. Also, where did all the lights come from? Love to see video with new springs. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"
Yes, me too please -- I might try these softer springs as well.

Correction- the 6s is ourunner only. For some reason I thought the 3rd version was “high performance” instead of ARF +Originally posted by C17loadmaster View Post
Yes, the 8s is an Inrunner. Also, the 8 and 6s Inrunners are both the same diameter. RC Geek’s centerburner is the same version for both

Finally got my EDF , fit so nice can’t wait to try it out. Once on 8s then I have a odd ball lipo I split apart to make a 6s going to try 10s with this EDF should be fine.
I got my springs from ACE hardware if you have any around your area, but any hardware store should have them if you ask. I think Lowe’s even has them in their pull out bins. On my way to Lowe’s now I’ll check it out.1 Photo

just got off the chat with customer support, the 8s is back in stock though the website has not yet been updated and should be there later this week. A couple of China Hobby Line 5000 4s packs G+ series oughta do some goodOriginally posted by the snake View PostThe 8s version sold out faster this time than the 6s, I am guessing the love the powerful fly over doing the 3d moves or are you 3d guys on 8s also? I got mine setup to try doing some 3d moves on it this weekend, just wanted to insure it will fly normal first.

Hello again everyone, finally got my hands on this bird yesterday and have it mostly setup. Centered all the control surfaces by adjusting pushrod and such. Installed the center burner for the 8s in runner (which barely fits). Tried to tap into the power off the Bec for the center burner and it was not nearly bright enough even on 6 volts, so I'll be going to 2s lipo for the burner.
Couple questions, can the stock servos run on 6v? It comes stock set to 5v so I wasnt sure. Also, you guys having issues with the nose wheel steering, what's the solution?
My nose wheel was working and then it wasnt andt the light doesn't come on either. The servo is powered but isn't controllable. Also have this issue with my Avanti which means I have to go pick it up after landing (works on takeoff, for whatever reason).
Looking to maiden tommorow morning.

Just run these. I get 12-15 flights on the centerburner with just one, and they weigh practically nothing.

Some scale details I've been working on. Pitot tubes, intake covers, and landing lights on the mains. The pitots and covers were 3D printed from the files Alpha posted on the F-22 3DPUP thread.
I did the covers in white PLA, and since the F-22 logo was recessed, all I had to do was paint the red around it. I then created and added the Remove Before Flight decals. And yes, the starboard side cover has the logo reversed. Unfortunately Alpha only posted the file for the port side, so I just took that and did a mirror image in slic3r. I am not yet savvy enough with slic3r or Fusion360 to fix it.
The lights on the mains were some white LEDs I had laying around. They are just hot glued to the doors, and then I hooked them all on a Y to the landing light slot in the MCB-E. I also cut recesses in the foam to allow for the lights.
Also, based on some pics I saw there is another dark grey square that goes under the pitot tubes. I cut these from the large rectangles I still had left from the decal sheet.9 PhotosPat

That's the description for the ESC spare part for the 6S version of the F-22. The 8S I believe is supposed to be 150 amp but 8S is in the title. Maybe it's supposed to be 8 amps as the BEC is 8 Amps.Originally posted by crxmanpat View PostCan you post a link to the specific ESC? I don't see a 130A for 8S, only 150A.

O.K. good input but I had already ordered an Admiral 2s pack with 1000mah. Guess I'll just get that many more flights with a little more weight. The good news is if I forget to charge it, it wont result in the plane turning into a yard dart!LOLOriginally posted by JLambCWU View Post
