Let me try to give some more information on the assembly. The first pic shows how the fairing parts need to be arranged. Start with the two small parts, those are the front fairing for the spar. Use some high quality glue, you don't want any of the parts to hit the operating fan. Then add the rear fairing to the spar. After that, add the "sharp divider" part. It might be necessary to enlarge the rectangular vent hole in the foam of the stock divider a bit to get the vent extension to slide in (see second pic). The rear fairing and the divider should be installed in one action to get them properly alligned. That's it. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks so much Frank,very helpful. However, I did not receive the two smaller parts for the spar streamlining. I'll double check that... but may have to get someone to make those for me. I haven't installed the nose gear brace yet but I have it and intend to use it.

I’ve added the smaller parts about three weeks later than the other parts. That might be the reason you don’t have them.

This is a 5mm collet mount so it will mount to the motor. But until you try it you won't know if it will fit in the shroud or haw many amps and watts it pulls. If you do try it please let us know.

YES if i do get that blade fan i will let ya'll know...I guess no one has replaced the original nylon fan 12 blade with a CNC one yet....perhaps its not a popular thing to do as the original fan blade is lighter.

I'm looking at the Freewing wheels for an F-16 main wheel to use for the nose wheel on the F-22. When on the wheel site, they don't say which wheel goes where. Can someone please tell me the metric diameter of the F-16 main gear wheel so I can order the right one?

The F-16 product page defines them on the spare parts tab. Mains have white hubs and are 60mm. Nose wheel has a gray looking hub and is 45mm. I have the F-16 nose wheel on mine but I think you are wanting the main wheel for yours?

Thanks for that Steve. Just measured the stock wheels. Nose wheel is 52mm by my measurement while mains are 72. As I recall, George changed his because the stock wheel looks like it came off the P-38. I'm gonna go with the nose wheel...not sure the main would even fit on the strut fork.

Thanks. I was surprised to see that Spectrum has really changed its Rx selection. Not many “simple” Rx choices anymore. And I see the Admiral Rx are made by Lemon... I may just get one of those with a satellite. Lemons seem to work great and the Admiral has a hard case.

I think that Spektrum is great stuff but are pricing themselves out of the market similar to JR did. Futaba is also pretty proud of their receivers too. I guess it really depends on you... I have started using the Admiral receivers with very good results. I like the size of the RX600SP and really like the RX1000 10ch with the option to add one Sat antenna . So far I am very pleased with these receivers and for the price you can't beat it.

The motor is not a 5mm collet design, it is 6mm same reason why I did not purchase that fan.
I would measure your shaft if I were you before you purchased.

Freewing has a lot to tighten up then, with their manual.
Especially their BEC in my opinion. Every lawn dart on this forum I can guarantee points back to the BEC.

Thanks TRMRC, It looks like i won't be purchasing it. Now i just need to find exact replacement fan blade , the original was slightly damaged, it accidently chewed up part of afterburner light wire...
