If you are patient, I will have a BRU-42 later in the summer as well as a variety of MK bombs, fuzes, and tail assemblies. Though the BRU will be designed using a custom attachment system to keep it looking scale.
How about sticking with the standard attachments, but printing the scale attachment points in addition as a cosmetic only? Would be really nice to be able to swap weapons around freely.

      • Hey Dee, what will it take to bring me a set of Mav's and rails to the Jam?

Sam, let me see how time goes this week since I need to reprint my AN/ALQ-119 and sidewinder bodies as well as the LAU117s. The maverick and rail pair takes 2 overnight prints so if I start on them by Monday I can bring you a pair at a "Jet Jam" rate of $40 for the pair .

The scale attachment is embedded inside the TER so nothing to model for that. The issue is more about getting the FW hardware to fit on the TER without causing printability issues. But this route might work with hacking away a lot of material from the hardware.

              • 3 rockeyes decaled, 3 more to go :Sweating:.

I have developed a high respect for modelers, as the process of aligning and setting decals is quite a chore!

That would be bomb envy. Rockeyes are cluster munitions, not missiles. ;)

Outstanding work DD! I have a Prusa MK3 on the way soon (I expect it to ship any time now), and I can't wait to get my hands dirty printing up ordnance for all my birds!

crxmanpat, Thank you for the clarification. That would explain why 'she who's authority exceeds my rank' looks at me "that way" when I ask if she's feeling frisky and why I was never a WSO. Best, LB

                        • Pat you will definitely enjoy the Prusa.

Hardway, I have the Prusa MK2S, I recommend getting the MK3 like Pat is getting. Very easy to assemble and not much tinkering to get it up and running correctly.

                          • Although the Prusa is expensive ($750), I for one will pay for the quality. I've seen the print differences between the Prusa and Anet, and the Prusa wins hands down. I may even upgrade mine and get the multi material add on at a later date as I get comfortable with it.

                                      • Thanks! the ones in the picture have the FW attachment hardware so they mount directly on the pylons.

If I can manage to make a BRU-42 TER to work with the same FW hardware, then it could open up the possibilities of some interesting load-outs. Though I haven't seen any pictures of a A-10 with a TER loaded with rockeyes, and only seen the TER with rockeyes referenced in the below link and in my "Details & Scale" External Stores Loading Configurations table.

I would expect the A-10 to use pretty much identical TER for rockeyes vs regular GBUs really.
