            • My arrived. Wow! What a box or should I say small casket? Just the engineering that went into packaging is amazing.

Hope she fly's as good as she's packaged! With the sheer size it looks daunting but really most is pre-assembled. Could use a helper.

                • I ran all the rudder and elevator wires through some heatshrink tubing but didn't shrink it. Easiest build ever, will take twice as long to put the decals on.

                  • The heat shrink is a neat idea and I have some that would work. What is the benefit of doing that?

                            • OK ATTENTION Motion RC, ATTENTION Motion RC, I AM NOT HAPPY WITH MY HAWG......Darn thing is too big LOLLOLLOL

Just kidding. I was going to use my smaller bench as I didn't want to move my 1/3 scale Spacewalker that was on the main table. So now when I get back from a quick night out of town, I will have to do some cleaning up to use the big table. LOL.

Guys, I have to say, the packing job on this beast was amazing. Everything had a place and everything in it's place. I can't wait to get back on Sunday to start working on this plane. Still have to figure out where to put my Spacewalker until I get this thing finished.:Confused::Confused::Confused:

No need for me to post pictures as everyone else has already shown the great looking airplane. Great job Freewing and Motion RC

                              • I'm glad some of you mentioned liking the packaging. It's not easy to cram all those parts securely into a box to minimize the dimensions ($$$) while not sacrificing durability and security. For some aircraft this can actually take quite a bit of engineering. Yet another often overlooked aspect of mass producing items suitable for world consumption.

                                • That's for sure. That takes some serious thought to come up with suitable packaging. Awesome stuff!

Best packaging to date, mine doesn't even have a scuff or burnish anywhere.

                                    • And the wing, I took it out of the packing and it really didn't feel like a foam wing. Very solid with some bulk to it. I've been trying to call a flying buddy of mine who's Hawg arrived today also. His got to his home at 6:30, so he is MIA.

                                      • Is it tomorrow yet?!?!?! Can't wait for mine to arrive. Jealous of all you who live close to Chicago and get your planes in just a few days.

TiredIron, great idea on the shrink tubing. I'm going to "borrow" that idea.

Agreed with the comments on the packaging. I've noticed this attention to detail on all of the recent kits purchased from Freewing/FLRC. The engineering that goes into packing these birds up safely is astonishing!

Good luck to all those who are maidening their birds today or tomorrow. I should have mine ready for maiden on Sunday, and hope to get video of the event.
