Only got as far as pulling out the elevator, vertical fins and fuselage front so far.
Managed to get the nose art and most of the vertical fin markings put on without screwing it up too bad. Been a while since I've messed with water slide decals.

Anyone have a picture of the so called "correct elevator position" called out in the manual? Maybe a measurement up from the bottom of the rudder or something.

Here is where mine lines up. Pretty much in line with the dimples on the back of the fuse.

I don't have a picture but mine trims out at about 8mm up from neutral for flight.

Mine came today. It is built and ready to go. I even got the Nerf whistles in too. If it's not too hot during the week I may sneak out one day after work for the maiden.

Just warm tap water. But, who knows what kind of chemicals are in it these days.

I'm not sure who may have said the Hobbyking wing bags don't fit, but I just opened the box with the A-10, inspected the parts, and immediately tried the 76cm wing bags. The 76cm Hobbyking wing bags fit these wings flawlessly and still allows the bag to be zippered shut and Velcro straps used. Now, yes, one wing fits in each wing bag, not both wings in one bag. However, we already knew that with the depth of the wheel wells, etc. Also, I haven't tried it with ordnance installed, but I never ordered these to fit the ordnance attached to the wings, they would be carried separately, kept at home, or in the car and used when necessary. So, overall it's money well spent on these excellent bags:Cool:. I don't think we could have found a more inexpensive choice that works.

I have the 76cm and it's a tight squeeze. No weapons and took the pylons off. Am I missing something ?

I'm eagerly awaiting videos of the A-10's with the nerf whistles! Nice flying Lon, enjoyed your videos and wow, what a nice place to fly. I'm on shipment #2 and hope to learn from you guys on set up and flying tips. Enjoying the thread.

I see many comments about the water slide decals being applied...one thing I do know from many years of scale model building is water slides like a gloss surface to lay on ...Future Floor wax works great..or is it called something else now? but anyway... after the gloss (let it dry) then apply the decal, use some solvent to soften it up ...after its dry and settled ,apply another coat of gloss over it, dry ,and then a dull coat... this will keep it from silvering,and/or peeling off . If you just apply the decal by itself , most likely it will begin to lift after a while and flake off.
