  • Aros, would be glad to help you out. Let me know which one you need. In return I need some info on the Mobious cams. I got the new one and had problems with it. Sent it back and they checked it and made some adjustments and said it should work. Part of the problem went away but not all. I ordered another cheaper Mobious and have the same issue. Would appreciate it if you could help me out. I am sure it is the video software I am using since it is happening with both cams.

    Thanks

    Tom

    • I have this plane and 2 flights thus far. I am in the middle of repainting this. I typically do not but the gray is nice and a good choice but it's too gray. I am doing a camo that should really make it pop will see. Very smooth for taking off and flying this is easy for sure. I am putting in the Mrrcsound card with the jet pack SD card. This should really spark it off.

The nose gear shows in stock, the nose gear and retract shows out of stock.

I have the earlier version and had a bit of a problem at first. I let the camera down load it's software to the 32gig card and made sure the SD card was the correct type made for video. Clear picture every time now. Do not buy a cheap card guaranteed not to work right. I posted a video back aways. Or go to Mrtcoltpilot on utube.

              • The first kits arrived in Europe. Thanks for all the great advices concerning improvements, I will incorporate a couple. Looks like the kits supplied by RC Castle have the stencil decals already applied.
It has probably been discussed before, but why does this model come with an 1/12 scale pilot and this funny seat? FW has the 1/10 scale F-16 pilot and the matching ACES II seat.
In addition, mine came with an opaque front screen. Raymond from RC Castle will discuss it with FW tomorrow, his service is really good.

Give it a go! I wish I could afford to do one in each color scheme...

Hey Brad..........Twowings and I were just talking this past Sunday about a Motion rep being present at his clubs Festival of Giants event.
Four Full Days of Giant Scale Fun!! The Binghamton Aeros have hosted one of the largest Giant Scale Fun Flys in the Northeastern US for the last 31 years.

Be a great place to show off that sound system. We are planning a formation fly with our A-10's during/throughout the event and you could even hook up with us on that.;)

When you say download software, are we talking about the formatting process described in the instructions? And yes I am using a HD Quality Video SD card that MRC says should work fine. The videos are great except I get this white wave that slips across the screen while viewing...

I am only guessing but it looks as though someone installed the front windscreen decal (that yellow border) without taking off the backing material first. If I am right, the whole thing will peel off. Then you can put the yellow border decal back on without the backing materal.

Thanks Marc. I tried to peel it off with a thumbnail first, then with an X-Acto knife without success. Perhaps I've been not aggressive enough. Will try again tomorrow.

Yeah, I tried putting the spring lightly in a bench vise to hold but not crush it and then tried some needle nose pliers but couldn't even get them between the coils. Their must be some technique or tool I haven't figured out.......I'll wait for George or maybe someone sells a little shorter spring? Brad
I haven't tried cutting or bending the springs for this one yet. (may play with it after spares become available) but have shortened and re formed the hook on some larger stiffer ones.
Try using side cutters. The beveled edge will let it slip between coils and then you can lever it up a bit. (Don't squeeze the handles too hard or you may wind up with it shorter than you want ;)) After you get the initial opening done you can work it with needle nose or whatever you are comfortable with.

                                • Those plastic domes linked to a few pages back in the thread worked out great for the Pave Penny Pod. I'll post pictures tonight or tomorrow when I finish things up. Thanks again! A simple and fun mod. for sure, but makes a massive difference in the realistic look of the front of the aircraft.

Mine will arrive Thursday. What sizes did you go with?

After measuring the Pod, I chose two different sizes, one smaller than the measurement and one larger, just in case. The Pod measured 21mm in diameter at the widest point I could find, so I ordered the 19mm and 22mm clear domes. I figured the 22mm dome would be too large, but ordered it in case the measurement online was incorrect. After testing them on the jet itself, the 19mm dome fits great. A simple slice of the Pod at the correct point on the Pod (at the 19mm portion) and it lines up just right.

                                      Which ones did you order?

I went with the 22mm for the Pave Penny and 25mm for the Mavericks. I figured it might be better to be too big than too small.
