Hey Jim, my chute is 17" in dia. I do not know how well a rocket chute will work with this set up as I have not tried one so it would be interesting to know if you do find one that works. If it is too bulky it will be difficult to get it to deploy consistently. There isn't much room as you said and it has to be just a little loose on the compartment. I personally like the look of the slot/ring chute over any rocket chute I have seen but that is me.

The chute I made for the F.F. F-4, was made out of light nylon(from the L.X. A-10), and It compressed well. I would love one like the one you, or helmsman56 made.....$ ? I don't have the "seamstress" skills you two have.....LOL. I'm in for one, and it sounds like you guys could sell a few more while your at it....

I designed those 100% scale in autocad and output them down to the scale of 1/12.38938. I used 63' for length of full scale phantom 63'X12" =756" ÷ 61.02"= 12.38938. If you need them to a different scale I can do that. There may be some issues with the fuel tank that I am working with rcjetdude to get those cleared up.Originally posted by joe671 View PostSo i was looking on thingiverse last night and found this

We sell a pack of the plastic male/female slotted attachments that Freewing uses on the F-4's other pylons. If you want to use that same mechanism to keep things easily interchangeable, buy a set.
For 3DP designers, it may be useful to integrate the female side into your ordnance. Installing a male side into the foam is very easy. In fact, the opposite is just as easy.Live Q&A every Tuesday and Friday at 9pm EST on my Twitch Livestream

Mate - There's no way the female side is as easy as the male side... at least not in my experience lol ;)Originally posted by Alpha.MotionRC View PostWe sell a pack of the plastic male/female slotted attachments that Freewing uses on the F-4's other pylons. edit: that reads a bit wrong, I haven't tried the male side. :)

In general, I prefer to keep the gender as standard as possible - interchangeability is always a bonus :-DOriginally posted by Alpha.MotionRC View PostWe sell a pack of the plastic male/female slotted attachments that Freewing uses on the F-4's other pylons.
