Alpha said on 10/28 that they were expecting them to ship in 2-3 weeks and would list them after they shipped, that doesn't put them here by mid Nov so be patient ;)Warbird Charlie

Actually 2 weeks from 10/28 would be mid November and in 2 more days it will have been 4 weeks since then. Since they are not listed yet, I'd assume they have not shipped yet.

Good assumption and when they do ship they'll take a couple months(unless expedited) so hang loose and work on another project :Goodbye:Warbird Charlie

I had the same issue with my right elevator...luckily I discovered it on the ground. The servo completely locked. I ordered a replacement servo from MRC and haven't had a problem since.Has anyone had a problem with the elevator servo or any other one fully deflecting during flight? I had my right elevator servo go full up during my flight and it still does. I got lucky and go her down in one piece but upon looking I was amazed that the elevator was full up.Comment

Do a sample test paint on a scrap of broken airplane... then try the clear matte finish on top.
I expect you will be better off with a spray so you don't smear the pastels with brushing.

I have been using either Testors Dullcote or Model Masters Flat Finish on my birds after detailing. Not only does it protect your detailing work, it also knocks any glossy sheen off decals and helps seal the factory paint.PatComment

Are you airbrushing the Testors Dullcote or the Model Masters Flat finish paints?

I had that problem a little while ago. I posted it in the feedback thread: https://www.hobbysquawk.com/forum/mo...king-read-this
Someone did something to my account and it all works now.Comment

No, I'm buying it in the 3oz spray cans. The Testors is #1260 Dullcote, and the Model Master is #196003 Lusterless (Flat) Lacquer Overcoat. Just to be clear, these are clear lacquer overcoats, not actual paint.PatComment

So hey, I've been working on my A10 cockpit. Pogo's working canopy just blew me away, I can't believe how cool that is. I wanted to just quit!! But I went ahead and finished my little project up, it took me about two weeks worth of evenings.
This summer I kept my bird out of the sun when it wasn't flying, but the foam inside the cockpit did alligator anyway, just from flying. The sun is powerful....
So here's what I did to fix it:
Removed the clear canopy by carefully peeling it off in one piece
Removed the entire seat by cutting around the edges (this piece was glued in separately by the factory)
Carefully sliced off the other three things behind the seat
Cut out the two holes in the rear deck and cut out the floor of the cockpit, then inserted a very thin layer of black open-cell foam (this will allow air to circulate)
Added paper decals for the side instrument panels and the center console
Added a control stick
Removed the HUD panel and side braces
Sanded all the alligatored surfaces flat, then covered all of them one part at a time, with white cardstock, including the seat. This took a long time.
I used some foam-filler to fill the cardstock-edges around the seat pieces
Painted all the cardstock, and the rest of the interior a dark gray
Reinstalled the bits behind the seat (they're covered in cardstock as well, except for the round thing)
Reinstalled the HUD panel and side braces
Glued the top back on (tonight)
Yaaaaaay. it turned out OK. But it doesn't open. <sigh> And the pilot (Douglas Bader) has no knees.
