All that is left of the "dumm" 400 inverter is the other blown half and a navy you brought second hand. Sounds like things are working out with your machines and the inverters you are trying to run with them. U say they are only thing that will do for speedflying.

Its over Ralph!!! I think you better find a better motor because antiquity in the inverter and motors wont yield you a thing into 2025. The knockers are just not it and we can get ready for another YGE to fail because of overdriving it.

The Importance of Bearings
Inside each spindle is a set of ball bearings that must hold very tight tolerances, withstand extreme conditions, and also last for many years. To accomplish all this, there are different types of bearings manufactured for very specific applications.
Two variations of ball bearings that inspire a lot of questions are ceramic vs. stainless steel. At Northland Tool & Electronics, we get asked quite often if we can “upgrade” steel bearings to ceramic.
Ceramic and steel ball bearings are very similar in design. The contact points, inner and outer dimensions, and thickness of steel and ceramic ball bearings are the same. The only noticeable difference in design is in the ball material — ceramic or steel.

Friction:
Ceramic balls are rounder, lighter, harder, and smoother than steel balls due to their lack of porousness. This reduces friction as well as energy loss, allowing your equipment to run more efficiently (and for longer) with ceramic ball bearings. Because of their relative smoothness, ceramic ball bearings require less lubrication than steel bearings.
Corrosion:
Steel balls will corrode over time, even with perfect lubrication, while ceramic balls do not corrode. In fact, ceramic hybrid ball bearings may last up to ten times longer than steel bearings when it comes to corrosion.
Bearing Races:
Ceramic balls have a much lower elasticity than steel balls, which is important to keep in mind when considering an upgrade to ceramic bearings. If you experience heavy spindle loads or spindle crashes, ceramic balls are more likely to cause damage (brinelling) to the bearing raceways. Over time the dents in the raceways grow larger and eventually lead to spindle failure.
Conductivity:
Ceramic bearings are non-magnetic and non-conductive, so they are often preferred in applications where electrical conductivity is a concern — for example, if you have an electric motor controlled by a variable frequency drive.
Precision:
When it comes to precision, the ABEC ratings of the spindle bearings we use are high enough that the difference between ceramic and steel bearings is minimal. The sole difference is that ceramic bearings will not thermally expand as much as steel bearings, and so will not generate as much heat at high speeds or have as much measurable thermal growth.
Cost:
This is typically the biggest difference between ceramic and steel bearings. Ceramic bearings are, on average, are 50% more expensive than steel bearings. As such, ceramic bearings are not always a cost effective improvement over steel bearings. When to Choose Ceramic Bearings vs. Steel Bearings
Ceramic
Ceramic bearings are usually considered for a spindle application in the following circumstances:- A speed upgrade is needed
- Applications in which high loads, high speeds, and extreme temperatures are factors
- To modify the spindle to add additional axial and radial stiffness while maintaining its speed capacity
- In conjunction with a lubrication change to keep the speed capacity and remove oil mist systems
- When electrical conductivity is an issue
So stay with the steel bearings Doc! Im also a certified machinist CNC and manual programmer operator and set up. I can do it all. CAD/CAM certified What can you do?

The cages are made from 350 maraging steel the needle are made form precision dowel pins. Ralph Okon and his friend don't know a damn thing about a ball bearing that's why this medical surgeon from Putin's place thinks hybrids are a joke. I know how to make these because James Allen taught me. James was who was honing Chroming and sleeving the Henry Nelson long strokes at Aero precision in Liberty , N.C. before he passed. As I understand Mike Langlois passed as well and just his sons are there now. I probably should contact them and Henry if he's still alive because people like Ralph Okon cannot teach me a damn thing about electronics or high level manufacturing. He does have a few capable friend there like his friend that CNC's his prop molds. Other than Ralph has not shown me anything to get excited about in years. Cleary he doesn't even really have an interest in electric motors because that alone would drive him to explore other things besides himself.

Das Ärgerliche an Christian ist, dass er ein deutscher Ingenieur mit ähnlichen Fähigkeiten in verschiedenen Bereichen ist. Ein echtes Genie, wenn es um Elektronik und alle Arten mechanischer und chemischer Geräte geht, aber er verschwendet viel Zeit damit, es Arschlöchern zu geben, die es nicht wollen.

I ordered the Super chief from I-care days ago. The planetaries cant have the best bearings because there are bearings in the relevant sizes that may cost as much as the entire planetary drive alone so any of them can be upgraded by the capable. I wished I had order the gearbox factory direct because there is just a recording at the place when you call and the people say they wont be shipping out till the 30th. I would have had the gearbox by now factory direct. But I will order a P32 or P42 from Steve tomorrow and when I get it I'll show you what's there. I guess I can also order the firewall mount and wind the 3225 pyro for the Super chief 4:1 planetary gear box and pop it in ze plane.
If the good lord blesses me for Christmas, daddy gets a new 18 channel Futaba

I want the boys to see what helifreak did. Since Christian has been a member since 2016 his message got immediately through then they decided to let Brenners message that was two days older than Christians through. It pops up in the early AM. in the right chronological order. If Christian wouldnt have posted that Brenners post would have never come through. They banned me for straightening two modelers that know absolutely nothing about motors or inverters and Im still at the top of the winding pages there. The real reason is this Rick cant 3d print and he's mad i corrected him on the site about the necessity of drying the filament. Because he was a moderator he was supposed to be smart. They also fly Ralph. Ha! His prints on a 2000 3dp dont look any better than mine off a 350 dollar ender tuned by me. Real talk.
From day 1 they had an issue I didn't bow down to Ralph supposed expertise in subject matter I was formally trained. Unlike he or them.
Either way they know where to find me now Ralph....

You can goto scorpions site and get the truth about their engines. They post the data with no games. Scorpion was never the problem here. I own a few.

I already have slot wedges that fit it perfectly Ralph but there is enough room to tie in the wye motor on the empty teeth I can get prolly 4 turns there. That will be quite alot of 1.828mm copper conductor (13 or 14T). This is 13 AWG! This can also be run in the dual inverter LRK or DLRK setup that really reduces the bell temps. It doesn't matter. When its complete Id love for anyone to compare it to Ralph 5020's

Gefühle seiner Freunde und Fans nicht verletzen, aber Ralph kann mich nicht schlagen. Es tut mir so leid, dass er etwa 25 Jahre zu spät kam. Wenn ich etwas für Ballenstadt zusammengestellt hätte, hätte keiner von euch den Mut gehabt, es fliegen zu lassen, weil ihr euch schon Sorgen über das Ergebnis im Vergleich zu ihm macht.

If you look at the data sheets for the 4:1 gearboxes of this manufacturer, you will find 0.8 for the efficiency.
If this manufacturer has made honest statements, they explain the rather high heat development of the gearboxes.

You still dont know much Ralph because the efficiency of the gearboxes at the power level Thomas boast is even less than .8 with the superchief. If you used a real calculator versus your friends mouth Youd probably know that. You also know your motor efficiency is about .8 or 3% less than the inrunner so that's why your motors get as hot as a gearbox but that hot gearbox doesn't affect commutation from the inverter side like your motor does it? It also doesn't make up the 2 fold throughput power delivery of the higher efficiency machine over yours.
