  • I think he's dealing with Spektrum, so I wasn't specifying any other brand of radio gear.

                • Finally getting my A10 put together ... I hope this doesn’t sound like a really dumb question. I have the spectrum AR6600T six channel receiver. Ummmmmm where do I plug the ESC in? I’m thinking I need a Y cable and go into the throttle PORT of the receiver? Thank you in advance sorry if this is such a newbie question.

                  • I believe any open slot on receiver. Mine is in the bind slot...

ESC = throttle... Channel 1 (usually labeled for throttle)
Twin engine (twin EDF) you can Y them to one channel or you can use a radio mix with a second channel

BEC = separate power for RX and would go to any open port or Y with any channel.
FF gliders and rubber power since 1966, CL 1970-1990, RC since 1975.

But you don't. Bind it first with the BEC (or ESC as you call it) plugged into any of the empty ports. After the bind, put it into the BIND port (which will now be empty), then plug the rest into wherever they're supposed to go. Don't mistake the "throttle" lead (which normally comes from the ESC) for the BEC lead, which in this case, comes from the external BEC, that powers the Rx. In traditional ESCs with built-in BECs, the throttle lead also contains the live power wire that powers the Rx.

                            • Okay, Got it... Everything working except landing gear will not come down? I checked all connections and they appear to be fine. Anything obvious I could be missing? Thank you again!!

I'm somewhat confused about this. The sequencer is just a tiny little module where you plug in the retracts and the door servo. I don't think it needs to be "programmed".

                                    • I probably did not state that correctly. On my DX9 The sequencer was inhibited... I went through and made all the proper settings.

                                      • I think we might be talking about different things. I use a DX8 G2 and there wasn't anything that needed doing in the transmitter to make the retracts work. The gear lead from the control board just went into the receiver gear port and it automatically defaulted to the gear switch. The control board and door sequencer just did it's own thing when the switch is thrown.

                                        • That’s what I thought also, I figured if everything was plugged in correctly it would just work once I bound the receiver. I’m really not sure why I had to go in and program it separately.
