  • Hi Crocker,

I see you here looking So look at this problem for the knocker. It has so much room for Mutiple layers or full single layer bobbins with tall heads It will all fit under this hood with no issue.

Look at the axial cooling surface? I'm going to design a spinner that can fully utilize this with the thermally coupled windings.. I'll show you how to build a cool running speed motor for a big speed plane with aircraft grade Aluminum and light weight composite components..

Its 14 poles the body construction is Ideal so ill just have thick toothed UETW and FLUSSPERREN cores cut in standard silicon steel.

        • AJ's back up 650 close to completion. 2+2 is left.. I got the first 6 + 6 in cleanly on the factory stator, so AJ's 8+8 YY 17 AWG. Clugh competition pyro wind will fit it nicely.

AJ's motor is complete . It's an 8+8 parallel wye motor

                • In 17 Awg. and 8+8 is 16.64mm^2 of copper cross sectional area in the slot. That is more copper in the slot than the competition black motor from Kontronics.

                  Thank you

                    Io @ 16.7 V was 1.1 amperes

                    • The 12 X 4 APC prop put a good load on it at 8s lipo. it pulled 2,461 watts on that prop @ 17288. Its time for a real mount as it started to pull the mill off the kitchen peninsula

So Ralph lets take these measured constants at 10 degrees fixed timing on the Castle Hydra Ice HV v2 4s and 8 s lipos and plug them into the max efficiency equation 1.92 from Maxon Motors where:

Max efficiency is 1 minus the square root of the idle current divided by stall current all squared.

                        η=(1-(Io/Ia))^2

Ia or the (stall current) for 16.7 volts and 17.5 milliohms of resistance is 954.3 amperes. The stall current for for 33.4 volts is 1908.57 amperes .

The easy math shows the Max Eta at 93.3% for 4s lipo and 94.2% for 8s lipo for the Clugh wound pyro 650 for AJ. It will only get better at 10 s lipo.

Post a remote comment in your newly titled thread if you'd like and ill share full explanation of the calculators with "special formulas that make my motors look better" and how they arrive at that. And how silly you are for posting that on croco world in Germany since the empirics and math are here together.

Were not afraid to post OURS!!!! You also didn't have to change the thread title just because I asked you what's the XNOVA and Quantum doing there... I already know. You showed the XNOVA when I brunt up the TAREQ here....

                        • Does anyone know this engine?

                          COMBOVE TYPE II 5040-300KV-1.5MM(12N14P)

4 Bearings NSK 6900ZZ(10X22X6mm) Cr(kN)2.7 & Cor (kN)1.27 12N14P High torque for UAV 180 Degrees Celsius NdFeB Magnet Optimized centrifugal fan for self-cooling
                          www.combove.com

This 12N14P 5040 seems to be quite "modeled" on the Pyro 1000 in terms of appearance.
This was already the case with their 12N10P 4735, which had also delivered quite usable data.
Only the original winding was made quite uncleanly.

It is also interesting that a 53 and a 55 type have already been announced!
And the 4225 is also available as a kit:

                          • We dont know it Ralph but you do since you shared it!

This American says that there are some features that you can add in the machining process that would add quite a bit of axial rigidity to this typical industry construction

Another 650 is here. That's 3 AJ 650s in the world. Anyway heres what the factory wind of the pyro 650 looks like. When I raised the hood this is what was there. When the few wires didn't lay down on the odd ball teeth they just wound them over the top.

I can see already this one has thicker enamel on the stator. Oh boy!....🙄

                                  Thanks

Now when you look at the factory wind to compare it to you can see the 67% increase in copper cross sectional area in the slot.

                                      Hi,
I got my invoice from Petr to send deposit Thursday on my special designed speedfire2 F5B plane. Mine will be like this but the three colors are Red, Black and Green. If not that it will be Natural carbon Red and Green. Petr is installing the KST servos before he sends me the plane. I let him handle all that. 😎

2025 right Ralph???? After developing a power system (Motor & Drive) for it I'm going to send you some Airmail from America for all that "pocboy" epithetic editorial you got on the German social media.

Don't be scared after talking about me. If you want a winding crown on a hobby forum always post your motor's constants nephew.

                                      Danke

I'll also purchase the combove Kit from China Wind it and see how it works against a powercroco 4225 Maybe the German pilots can save a little coin.... people could just send me the kit to wind for them...
