The Avanti also has slop in it's gear. They felt that too stiff of a gear set up would lead to gear being tore up and breaking. I can only say in my experience that it works. I've run it off our runway into the high grass that full of bumps and holes and it's still in great shape. The only problem I've had is the grub screws that are on the nose gear have come loose and allow the nose wheel to go back and forth, especially bad on takeoff. Pulled them out and used locktite on them and no more problem. They had some on them but only towards the outside and when the screw was all the way tightened it went beyond the locktite. Flare this jet on landing and you shouldn't have any gear problems.
I have probably an 1"+ of front to back slop and about the same side to side. It was a little loose like you said in the beginning, but it seems to have a bit more slop now.

This awesome 1/6th scale Skymaster A-10 from this past weekend. It has a smoke system too. I saw the flight from a distance and it looked great. The event was well attended.

Excellent! I only had to enlarge the groove in the outermost part of the wing closest to the wingtip. if I recall correctly the rest of the grove was big enough.

I got some spare parts from RC Castle took about a week to arrive. Can land your A10 at Bills OK ? Or is that why you want nose parts :-)

Might have to go through RC Castle on the retract C. It still has the black case hardened pin. Like they took a blow torch to it. Very brittle.

I hope this isn't the case when the upgraded landing gear with the regular oleo struts come in for folks like me with either a paved runway or short grass. I think the people who asked for this upgrade in the first place should have some kind of priority notification. I haven't got time to watch every hour for things like this. Thanks, Brad
